Great location, wonderful rooms, good bar downstairs, excellent breakfast, very helpful staff all very comfortable. Left my EarPods, immediately an email they have found it and are sending it along to my house adres.

The room doors were so noisy when opened and closed but not really a huge problem. Also I think the desk mirror in the window of the single room should be removed so you can see out.

The food was amazing at breakfast and dinner Staff very friendly and helpful . I felt very well cared for and that is important when you are alone!!Mia at check in was very helpful and approachable. Thankyou for such a very pleasant stay

Friday and Saturday nights are noisy! The restaurant and bar downstairs go off and there’s a DJ, so loud bass and people laughing, talking and enjoying themselves can be heard into the wee hours of the morning. So if you’re there for these nights wear some earplugs!

The styling of this beautiful old property was beautiful. Our room had a gorgeous view of the gardens across the road through the huge bay windows. Beds were super comfortable and even though Edinburgh was cold, the room had 2 very efficient radiator heaters so warm and toasty. The shower had good pressure and the water was nice and hot. Lots of room in both the room and bathroom. Food in the restaurant/bar was delicious and value for money. Shout out to Taylor who helped us during the day with our small requests and Martin the night manager who went above and beyond, making us coffees at 5 in the morning, hauling our heavy bags down the stairs for us when we checked out and just being an all round top guy.

It’s not that I didn’t like this. I was in room 205 which has a park view, there is space there for a table and 2 chairs. Only one chair in the room and I sat on a case. What’s the point of a park view if you can’t sit and enjoy it

The room was lovely. The location is amazing overlooking the park feeling calming. It is close to lots of great restaurants,coffee shops and quirky indecent shops. 15 mins walk from the Royal mile. The secret door to the hotel rooms is worth it alone.

The only thing wrong with our trip was that the hotel booked a taxi for us which didn’t turn up (which I am definitely not blaming the hotel for) so would rethink the taxi company you use.

A little mix up with one of our rooms initially but the staff were excellent at rectifying the situation and made sure in every way that we had the most enjoyable stay with them for the two nights. Would definitely stay here again, the staff were all so friendly. The food in the restaurant was great too. We all enjoyed our trip

The hotel has a bar downstairs, where the music is quite loud, but it becomes quiet after 11 PM.

As an Asian traveler, I was unaware that most European hotels do not provide slippers, so I asked a staff member for a pair. The staff was very patient and managed to find me a pair. I later learned that it's uncommon for European hotels to offer slippers. Regardless, I have to give it 5 stars.
