Personally, I couldn't fault a thing.

What a gem this place is. The house is beautiful presented and very well kept and the breakfast was to die for. More than enough to keep hunger away for most of the day, and all beautifully prepared by Derval. Our room was lovely and very tastefully decorated (like the whole house), the bed was huge and comfortable and the bathroom was stunning. Parking was not a problem as there were many on-street places next to and nearby.

There is absolutely nothing to change.

Great location. Plenty of free street parking. Excellent wifi. Beautifully decorated room. Huge bed that was super comfy. Breakfast was outstanding. Derval makes sure you dont go hungry. There's always a surprise treat. Each day there are homemade cookies in a jar in the room. Homemade scones, jams and marmalade. Freshly squeezed juices. Dave and Derval are excellent hosts. They have lots of ideas of places to see and restaurants to visit. there is a huge amount of information on their website as well. This was our second visit and we will definately be back again.

Perhaps a clear house name would be a good idea. I’d hate anyone to be unable to find this gem of a place.

Nothing. There wasn't a single thing to fault. Dave and Derval have put a lot of love, care and attention into their B&B. And it shows.

Everything was beyond perfect for our stay at The Knowle. The B&B was in a lovely quiet location, with plenty of off-road parking. The property itself was beautiful, inside and out. The room we stayed in was incredible, very tastefully decorated, spacious and spotless. We loved the extremely comfortable king size bed, luxury linens and soft pillows. The large bathroom was stunning and opulent with an amazing walk-in shower and big bath. Breakfast was delicious and a highlight of our stay. Derval was super friendly and went out of her way to make sure everything was to our liking from start to finish. Her homemade scones, cakes and biscuits were a nice little touch and made us feel right at home. We really didn't want to leave!

Beautiful house in a lovely peaceful location within walking distance to the bars, restaurants, shops and seafront. Exceptional hospitality and delicious breakfast (and homemade cake for the train home!). Couldn't recommend it more. Never felt so looked after. An absolute gem of a place.

Beautifully renovated old house with a lovely garden. The rooms are well decorated with a great attention to detail including lovely fresh flowers in the rooms. Delicious breakfasts and the owners were very thoughtful and kind.

The Knowle is located in a quiet neighbourhood in St. Leonards, but everything is in walking distance. The property is stunning and we had a beautiful room with spacious, luxurious bath. The amazing breakfast was the true highlight of our stay at The Knowle!

Everything seemed brand new and the room was beautifully decorated. The bed was so comfortable, as was the room in general. The shower was wonderful! Breakfast was absolutely amazing: such a good selection made fresh in the kitchen as well as locally sourced produce. We rolled out of breakfast feeling extremely happy!

Way beyond my expectations. From arrival the comfort and ambience of The Knowle was a comfort hug of a beautiful house circa 1900 beautifully restored to reflect the grandeur of a bygone age with the subtle additions of modern technology and grace. The hosts Dave and Derval were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble for either of them, my room was simply splendid, spotless, spacious with a king size bed and most welcoming pillows. My bathroom was just fabulous, beautiful quality fixtures and fittings, a bath to die for and a shower big enough for a party. Cannot speak highly enough of The Knowle, will most certainly return. Great choice of locally sourced breakfast delights, beautifully presented. A gem of a place to stay and worth every penny.

Beyond expectation. We were leaving early the following day for a fishing trip and Derval made us an incredible homemade pack lunch with beautiful ingredients - this was at no extra charge. The design of the house, the location and the hospitality are superb. And very comfortable bed!!!!

We had a very relaxed and comfortable couple of nights at the Knowle. Our hosts were helpful, friendly and welcoming, the room was lovely and the breakfasts were delicious and abundant. We would definitely visit again.

Just one negative. There were no net curtains at the windows, lower Victorian style would be fine. I'm not bothered about wandering past the window, with my kit off after a shower, but I'm sure some people would prefer some more privacy without having to lower the blinds.

The room was large, clean, tidy, warm comfy bed, and facilities of drinks and bathroom were superb. The breakfasts (2) were large, local products, natural selection, tasty and filling. I had the free range of the living as well. Friendly and helpful couple.

Beautiful B&B. Huge bedroom with very comfy bed. Bathroom was huge with a bath and a separate shower with rain shower. Lovely toiletries. Extremely clean. Excellent wifi. Hosts were super friendly and helpful with ideas on things to see and do and restaurants to go to. Breakfast was supurb.

I would highly recommend staying at The Knowle. Dave and Derval were fantastic hosts and their home is lovely! They gave plenty of time to chat to us and gave us some really good recommendations for places to eat and things to see and do. We stayed in Room 2 which was large, bright and very tastefully decorated. All the facilities were great – large, really comfortable bed, powerful shower, all the main toiletries were supplied and there are lots of lovely little touches like home baked cookies in the room. The breakfast was delicious, again all home cooked and lots of it! Kept us going for most of the day. The Knowle is only a short walk down the hill into the town and it's in a really nice quiet location. We will definitely be staying there again!
