Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Good size room with views to the Abbey. Emma was great with helpful advice - the owners clean the rooms and correct any wear and tear and it showed with spotless rooms and decoration. 2 day parking voucher provided but take care to follow Emma’s instructions. The place is room only but a goody bag of snacks, coffee and tea is in the room and Emma provides complimentary real coffee from her shop next door during opening hours. Great location just back from the harbour and under 10 minutes stroll to West Cliff. Many local restaurants and pubs and cafes for meals. Would definitely stay at the Horngarth again

Very clean, well laid out with lots of thoughtful extras (fresh orange juice in the fridge was a lovely addition). Without a doubt we will be back and wholeheartedly recommend a stay here. Had a superb 3 night stay here in September. Horngarth is located in our preferred part of Whitby, our room & bathroom were spotlessly clean & the bed was comfy. Parking was no problem with the permit provided. Our hosts were friendly, considerate & generous with yummy treats. Perfect for us.
