How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Beautiful setting. Lovely view. Comfortable space. Hosts were friendly, welcoming and helpful. They readily shared their knowledge of local attractions, flora and fauna.

Nothing negative about this place.
The location is somewhat secluded, along a pretty stream with gorgeous views. Karen the owner was so kind and helpful, when our gps didn’t deliver us to her location she was watching and guided us in. She was wealth of information and advice on things to see and do, it felt like we were staying with a friend. The value was excellent with a huge tv, separate bedroom and bathroom. We wished we had booked more days there.

This is the most amazing relaxing property we have stayed in . The host is super lovely . Beautiful views and so close to Inverness but yet out in the countryside . Will definitely be back !!

The property is clean and beautiful, with a lovely salmon river within yards of the location. Steve and Karen are wonderful hosts, and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Cannot give enough stars for this gem! We’ll be back!

The pillows could have been a little softer but that's just being picky.
Very easy we were met at the door and shown round The owners are a lovely couple that couldn't do enough for us organising a taxi as we were attending a wedding. The also made sure we had everything we needed even arranging a takeaway Indian. Steven was a mine of information about the Jacobite's and surrounding areas which are stunning would definitely recommend.

Just nitpicking . No facilities for any food. It does say this . A little microwave possibly might be good. But that was us . But actually We didn't miss it .
Location was lovely. The apartment was spacious and really well maintained.would highly recommend especially as a stop off getting around Scotland they proved small porridge pots to add water to for breakfast which was nice as no cooking facilities there.

We wouldn’t change a thing. It’s rightfully named suite for the big and quiet bedroom and bathroom + private living room very cosy with a big TV, tea/coffee/biscuits. The host, Karen is extra nice and tips giving.

I love the nice style of the place, teas, coffee, and milk provided. Bathrobes and clean fluffy towels are provided. The host was very welcoming and gave us great recommendations for food places and places to visit in Scotland. Very happy with staying here. I love that there's Netflix on Tv and that it's a smart TV.

Beautiful apartment in a pretty spot not far from Inverness. The countryside meadows are full of cows and sheep and the woodlands paths are an easy walk. Our hosts Karen and Steve were accommodating and had a lot of recommendations that were helpful. They also provided literature and pamphlets about the area the history and places to eat.
