Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPurely personal but we like settees and comfy seats to lounge in of an evening in a bar area and there wasn't any. I would assume it gets so busy in season the simply don't have the room.
Great location for the Manifold trail and surrounding walks in stunning scenery. They brew their own beer from the excellent local water and I'm pretty sure it's CAMRA recognised and of the highest quality. Food, very good as well. Lovely owners

United KingdomNothing, the only thing I'd mention to other travelers is that it is a vibrant local pub with an atmosphere and if you are after silence then it may not be the place for you.
Everything was great from location to staff, food was good and also communication.

SpainI had no complaints.
Everything. It's a family run Inn. The room was lovely. The staff were nice and very helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. The locals were great too. The food was homemade and delicious, with generous portions. The homemade chips were my favourite. They all made me feel so welcome. I will definitely stay again. Thanks everyone!

United KingdomA beautiful little pub set in a fantastic area for getting straight out walking and taking in the scenery, the staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We paid for a full English on our first night, but the continental that is included was really fantastic and sufficient so no need for it on the second morning. Our evening meals were fantastic too sitting by a fire and eve8a game of pool..looking forward to going back in the new year as there is much more exploring to be done 😁

United KingdomThe rooms were immaculate but unfortunately there was no comfortable seating in the bar or room The bed was wooden framed and slatted with a thin mattress and with a wooden ledge headboard which made it nearly impossible to sit and watch tv/read comfortably etc.....
The staff were lovely and the food and drink plentiful - spotlessly clean room

United KingdomThe WiFi isn't great, we couldn't get Netflix or BBC iPlayer to work on the TV. But we just used it as an excuse to sit in the bar instead!
Lovely place with some nearby great walks along the Manifold trail. Really nice ales, lovely food and friendly staff and locals. Very welcoming me to us and our pet greyhound, you can tell they really love dogs.

United KingdomNothing at all
Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Greyhound with Lee & Jenni. It's a really cosy place to stay, we had the Chatsworth Room which was lovely...clean, comfortable and plenty of tea & coffee after our days out in the Peak District and an excellent breakfast. The pub also serves superb meals & great beer plus a couple of log burners to sit by afterwards. It's really handy if you want to visit Chatsworth House, Bakewell or Pooles Cavern as we did. Would definately return ! Hopefully when Lee gets his own Micro brewery going !

United KingdomNothing, it was all good :) if you are looking for an early night then check to see if there's live music on their events page as the sound does carry up to the rooms but we enjoyed the band so didn't go to bed till after the bar was shut and then it was lovely and quiet.
Had a fantastic time here. This is a proper pub with great food and drink (the ale selection is extensive!), darts, pool etc. and a lively, friendly atmosphere. The accommodation looks like it's been recently refurbished - the room was very comfy, spotlessly clean and with all the facilities you could want. The breakfast was tasty and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was live music on the Saturday we stayed which we really enjoyed, and it's a good base for hiking in the White Peak area. Great value for money too!
