We love the property and would love to return. yet I do need to share the experience below. It deterred from all the wonderful experiences we had there. When we booked there were 3 of us. It was noted that you only book 2 people to each room. Our daughter had to stay in a different room yet not adjacent to us. Our rooms while I believe cost the same were quite different in size, quality and amenities. Also, when we went into our room it was so large that we could have easily fit a roll away into the room for more intimacy as a family and may have upgraded even more given the money we would have saved not having to have 2 rooms. The only time we used the other room was for her to sleep. That was a shame of less family time and dollars not needing to be spent. I went to the front desk to seek understanding about the difference in size rooms and why we could not be together and the woman could have handled it with more care and more listening versus more worried about what she thought she should be saying. Her response was received by us as very canned and cold. She also had a nervous laugh as she was trying to explain which did not help. My family asked me to stop and just accept it. Thank you.

The American Bar was fabulous along with the main bar area; we loved the tea, coffee and shortbreads in the room. The amenities of the playground service, stables, off-roading lessons and PGA golf course were all spectacular. The people from the hotel, playground, golf starters, and waitresses were so nice and accommodating except at check out at front desk.

My helicopter had to land a mile away rather than on the Helipad at the Hotel??? It caused confusion and stress thinking we were late for the pick up

We cannot think of something that was lacking as the place is warm n welcoming.

The property is beautiful accommodating to our needs friendly and personable. A family oriented hotel! Country club atmosphere. The staff manager Iris and staff member Angus made it possible for us to have our comforts met! The grounds are classic and very well kept with a multitude of activities available. However the warm sitting areas are excellent for reading and relaxing near a warm fireplace. The restaurants and bars are very good!

The only nitpicking I can do is the check in situation. There seems to be big groups coming around the same time and when this happens a bottleneck forms and causes a bit of chaos. I think rather than having 30-40 people que up in a small area, some staff with tablets could walk around the waiting lounge to check the guests in whilst the guest are having a cup of tea/coffee drinks etc. I think this would suit the Gleneagles standart much much more.

Everything! From the grounds to the staff, from the attentiveness of everyone working to the incredible food and drinks Gleneagles was everything I heard about and then some. Gorgeous, fantastic place.

Absolutely beautiful, the staff were so helpful, informative and friendly. The facilities are exceptional, breakfast was so varied, there were choices for everyone. My 8 year old will remember her stay, fond memories made.

Actually some of the food didn’t suit - felt it was underdone and tough - that was one person - the other had a good experience. Went to the American bar after dinner and all I can say is that there was a table with one of the rowdiest crowd i have heard in a long time - it was off putting. It put us off having another drink. I thought at the time, the staff should have been having a word, so I was shocked that management at Gleneagles allowed this behaviour.

Beautiful countryside - fortunate with the weather. The staff are impeccable with their service. Cannot fault staff in the restaurants

Service is always exceptional, upon arrival the door staff are super friendly and you are made to feel very welcome. Everyone goes above and beyond - Mani in the Birnam was exceptional, very personable and friendly. The breakfast next morning was the best I’ve ever had with so much choice and fresh food!
