Great location. Extremely comfy bed. Lovely staff who are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the food in the restaurant, very tasty and has a good vegetarian menu and the best home made chips. Good selection of beers and a nice covered outdoor area.

Location in the heart of the town was great but the road noise was a little intrusive with the window open.

Bar lounge area was lovely, big wood log burner on. Well stocked bar with local beers & spirits. Walking distance to harbour & other restaurants. Owners are lovely.

You will great a great welcome at this lovely small Hotel. Andy and Audrey are very welcoming hosts and all the staff were very helpful. The the bar and restaurant served excellent food and drinks in the evening. Breakfast is very good too with ingredients sourced locally. It is perfectly situated in the town to enjoy all the local amenities We were very happy and comfortable during our 3 night stay here.

The only remark would be that breakfast wasn’t included in the room price.

Location excellent with easy free street parking nearby. Room comfortable and clean with nice view from window. A little disappointed that breakfast was not included in the price, but in fact saved time as we would have had to get up earlier! Very helpful and pleasant owners and staff. Also good to be able to have evening meal.

Soundproofing between rooms is not amazing - but no worse than most hotels

Excellent breakfasts, helpful staff, lovely location. Particular mention for the magnificent hanging baskets and other flowers on the front of the hotel. Just beautiful.

Only slight issue was the bed was too soft and we both had sore backs in the morning.

Nice welcome and staff very friendly. Beer garden was superb especially as it was a hot week. Typical pub food, we both enjoyed. Spacious room and the location is superb. Kirkcudbright is a lovely wee town.

I didn’t realise that they didn’t serve breakfast with the room because we went through Booking.com instead of directly through them. That was a disappointment!

A little bit more time for breakfast and dinner. When travelling and visiting whilst on holiday it's nice to have little more time for breakfast and likewise in the evening to order / eat dinner. Dumfires & Galloway like much of Scotland is famed for it's sea food, but there was nothing on the breakfast menu for e.g. Kippers, Salmon etc. nor on the evening menu except for Fish and Chips. But these are minor things overall.

The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful, also the hotel has a lovely beer garden and outdoor dining area. Ideally located within a few minutes of the town centre.

Could have been difficult to get street parking if the town had its normal visitor numbers. Not suitable for people with mobility issues due to stairs.

Central location with street parking. Immaculately clean. Bar and beer garden - but clientele left by 11pm, so not disturbed by noise. Very friendly owners. Enjoyed our stay.

Previous business was family run with lovely friendly touches. Now seems to be run by a corporate which caters for noisy bar customers on Friday evenings. Dinner was not up to previous standard. Towels were Not changed. Step up to bathroom was dangerous.

No food after 7:30pm.shower has no pressure the water just drips. fire alarm went off 2 mornings. The bar is tiny and run by family so it’s a bit like sitting in someone’s living room having a drink

Tiny shower room they advised dinner served till 8pm we arrived at 7 , they said dinner has finished. Also no handle on toilet and top of shower room basin tap missing
