Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe did not know until after we had paid to book that an extra £250 would be held from our account unless we paid an insurance premium. This was a cost, which we felt should have been included with the cost to stay. As it was it seemed hidden up front.
It was pleasant and comfortable and the location was great. The courtyard was lovely.

The decor is lovely and modern, beds are very comfortable and free on site parking is a bonus. The outside courtyard space is ideal for an evening glass of wine when the weather is warm. United KingdomThe booking site promised bathroom toiletries but there were none when we arrived, so I would recommend popping some in your bag just in case. Also there was a kitchen roll provided as our spare toilet roll which was rather strange!
Loved the location, it was within walking distance of everything. The handy digital guide gave us great recommendations for places to eat and visit. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very cosy for our evenings in front of the telly! We really enjoyed our stay.

United KingdomThe apartment is in a less desirable part of Whitby. The secure parking is a real bonus but it would be tight for a large car. There are 17 steps from the car park to the apartment with no lift, carrying heavy bags was difficult. The drains did smell but that could be due to the present weather.
