    Worth it for convenient location

No breakfast available. We knew this, but still inconvenient. I think it would be worth making at least the basics available in room (fridge with milk, juice; cereal...)

    Spacious room, comfortable bed

Flow rate on the shower, and the hot tap in the basin, could have been better/faster.

Very convenient location for Shoreham and the station, which is virtually next door. Room comfortable, with good storage and WiFi. Staff friendly and helpful.

Feels a bit tired, we have stayed several times before in the family room, which used to be a room with a double and two singles, but now only has a double and a single. We were a group of three but there were only two cups, two tottles of milk etc. unfortunately no one about in the morning to ask for more. The pub itself had a funny smell of dog urine, and there were two dogs who barked at us and nipped at my ankles when we arrived!

Great location, friendly and welcoming staff, beds are comfortable

It was noisy - the level crossing alarm and generally bad soundproofing. Could do with some modernising but it was ok.

Great location for visiting friends and close to restaurants and shops.

Rooms can get hot at night. No AC in rooms, but they do provide a fan. Access at night is via a dark alleyway, which was hard to access with a wheelchair user.

Close to the station. Nice beer garden out the back.

The staff were very helpful,in fact I had booked and paid for 3 rooms for the incorrect day (24 -25th Jul. ) they said there was a room available 23-24th July which I took which I now realise I Paid in excess of $600 if possible I would very grateful if I could get some of that payment paid back into my account. The error occurred because I didn’t get confirmation back when making the bookings the first two attempts as is normal. Kind regards Phil Jones

Couldn't open window so it was rather warm. Guest entrance (after pub closed) very difficult to find in dark. For the benefit of future guests, you need to take the road to the left of the pub (Gordon Road). Go past houses on right, then small private car park. then there is the driveway to the pub car park. Go down this driveway to the car park. Go across the car park to far corner. Go through gate into pub garden. Go across pub garden. Straight ahead is door to the bar (when open). On you left is the guest entrance. You should have been given a separate key for this door.

Location ideal. Breakfast was not available but there is a cafe opposite which opens at 8am. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Spotless shower room.

If you're looking for 5-star perfection, this isn't the place for you. But if you want relaxed and relaxing comfort definitely stay here.

Brilliant! Loved staying here and would happily return. Huge room (could sleep 5 with the extra sofa bed and trundle) but set up for me as a single occupant of the room (i.e. one set of towels and refreshments) which was a welcoming touch that's been overlooked by more luxury expensive establishments - thank you. No breakfast but plenty of places to eat nearby. Big bath and good shower. Very comfortable. I slept very well.

It would be convenient if there were a small refrigerator in the room. that would make the room more suitable for a stay with a child too, especially in the summer.

spacious room, very conveniently some 50 m from the railway station (trains to Brighton)

Shower was very difficult to maintain temperature. A little noisy with the music from the pub below and across the street but it didn't bother us.

Room was very big and had olde world charm even with chandeliers. Not fancy but quaint. Bath towels were very big and thick. Everything we needed just to stay overnight.
