Bathroom was a little grubby round the edges and could do with a deep clean/refurb. It was a little bit cold in the room but it was -4 outside.

Great food in a cosy local pub with friendly staff. Stayed in a lovely room in a nice quiet village location with plenty parking.

I thought the room was very tired i.e. window frames and furniture and shower cubicle. Also could do with being decorated.

The evening meals and breakfast were very good. I would like to give a special mention to Max ( trainee manager ) and the staff who worked on Sunday who were under pressure due to the number of people eating. They coped exceptionally well and should be commended.

Our room was on the ground floor and unfortunately the room above had very weak floor boards. We could hear every step, every movement , quite loudly.

When we had a shower it didn’t go down the plug. So you’d have to wash with the shower off, and turn it back on to rinse.

The property itself was easy to find, comfy parts of it are a bit dated and a bit worn, but really comfy.

The location was fine. The breakfast was excellent our room was good. Extra touches such as the coffee maker and plenty of soft towels were much appreciated.

The room I was allocated was around the back of the building which meant after I had dinner I had to go outside to reach my room.

Was perfect for me as I was travelling on my own and needed somewhere with a restaurant and parking so I did not have to walk anywhere in the dark.

Thoughbthwberrornwas quickly addressed when I pointed it out two days after departure, I was charged twice for the room.

On the 2nd night we booked to include breakfast via booking.com and were charged £30, however direct at the property the breakfast menu has all options for less than £15, so for example if both people had the omelette as a couple you would unnecessarily pay £15 over the actual cost. We both opted for the full english and unfortunately breakfast wasn't great, I felt it was a little undercooked and temperature was a little cool, also the complimentary tray could have had a bit more in there as I had to ask for a top up due to staying 2 nights, but that was no trouble when I asked the staff

We had room number 8. Absolutely lovely room, around the back of the pub, private access with parking right outside, includes a sofa in the room. Staff are friendly and it was lovely to sit in the bar for a few drinks in the evening and not have far to walk

The shower didnt work very well and the floor had a hole in it that had a washboard nailed over it.

Rang ahead to find out what time they were serving food until, and we were told 7.45. My partner arrived before me at just before 7.30pm and we were told that they had shut the kitchen. We ordered deliveroo as we had both had a long drive and not stopped for food assuming we would be able to order as per the website and what we had been told. Staff did not appear happy or accommodating to our request to have a drink in the bar and eat our takeaway food there despite being the only people in the bar, and we were told that they had hoped to close early as it was so quiet.

The WiFi is temperamental, but to be expected in a rural area. This caused a little lag at times with the TV and devices you connect to the free WiFi.

The room was very comfy and when it got a little warm over night the Dyson fan did an amazing job at cooling the room, and silently. If you want a great night sleep this is the place, so quite come closing time in the pub, and so so dark once you switch the lights off. Perfect

Cute little room above a pub on a Saturday night (no noise, the pub isn't too busy). Good facilities, food is decent and it's very good value for money. The pub is basically the only place in the village of Curridge so you kind of need a car if you want to stay here, but it's a nice base for exploring the Chilterns from.

some elements in the bathroom showed their age and carpet showed some stains

the linen was excellent and the bed was comfortable. The TV was nice and large. Good desk. Coffee and tea facilities good.
