Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandSmell of cigaret smoke entering the room. Noise from the trafic. Facility badly needs renewal. The corridor looks like the building has been abandoned for several years. The jacuzzi pump has been waiting for parts for so long that the owner paid off to laminate a piece of paper with this information so that it wouldn't rot in the bathroom.
Very close to train station. Early check in. Huge windows. Free parking. Large bath. The cleanliness of the room and the quality of the service were impeccable.

United KingdomThe lack of a reception response, lack of helpful staff, although advertised (and sold) as "breakfast included" at 8:55 this morning (12 March 2023) there was no sign of anyone let alone breakfast!
Room fine, good bathroom bed, TV and wi-fi, which I didn't use, was also available FOC. Place is unkempt, first floor designated fire exit blocked off and despite pushing the "location" button on the phone in reception I had to leave the premises (about 20 minutes before check-in time) and ring the landline for a response. Plenty of parking space, very handy for town centre and M181 and nearby shops. Easy to find. Good shower, bathroom and TV.

United KingdomThe hotel was extremely run down. There was no proper heating so room was extremely chilly. It did however have a small fan heater to use. However it would have been more welcoming if the room had been warm on arrival. We found out that the hotel was due to close in 2 weeks after recently being sold.
Staff member was friendly and very helpful with directions.

United KingdomNo one on reception wen we arrived. Had to use a telephone push button locater. Took abt 5 mins for the person to arrive. . No lift. 2 flights of stairs to my room. The guy helped me with my case. Ceiling light didnt work. TV didnt connect till later in the evening. Wouldnt connect on the morning. Small windows were open, but to high to close. The hotel is on a corner near traffic lights bringing 4 roads to it. Noisy at times. The room needs a lot of work on it. Discolouration behind the toilet. Rough wall boards near the floor under the sink. Shower ledges need a deeper clean & loose board under the shower cubicle. No safety notices displayed in the room as regarding exiting in the event of a fire. No hooks behind the doors. All the carpets need shampooing in reception , staircase, landing. Discoluration. Painted areas need up grading.
Hotel about 4 mins walk from the train station. Bed was comfortable & clean Towels were soft & hair & shower gel were good. Coat hangers were mixed plastic & metal, but easy to get off the rail instead of security ones. Tea & coffee satchets were ok. Good drinking mugs. There was an electric heater in the room should i have needed it. Hairdryer worked.

United KingdomWhen I 1st arrived as i was checking in , there was a maintenance guy cleaning what I thought was tomato sauce off the walls... so I joked saying.."wiping the blood off the walls already!".... turned out it was blood! If you're looking for a peaceful nights sleep... DO NOT STAY HERE! Shouting and fights outside until 3am.... then a random guy shouting up at my window to be let in because he had forgotten his key...police sirens all night... worst nights sleep ever !
The staff were very polite

United KingdomThe location, the room. The hotel was run down and very dated. Had horrible smells. Rooms where not cleaned properly. I booked the room with a spa bath. Was told on arrival it did not work..didn't get offered any money back even though I payed extra for that room because of that feature. The man who greated us was nice enough but stunk of alcohol and told us he actually uses the bath that's in our room. Which led me to buy a bottle of bleach and clean the bath before using it. Rubbish left in one of the draws. We booked for 3 nights and I was very close to just leaving and losing the money spent. Not worth what we paid at all. Would not recommend.
Nothing really.

United KingdomNo breakfast despite it being advertised as including breakfast. Staff member stated they ran out of gas so couldn't provide breakfast. When I explained that was one of the main reasons that I booked this hotel out of a choice of many he shrugged his shoulders, blamed someone else for not telling me and said there is a Wetherspoon's down the road. No offer of any discount on my payment or offer of toast, cereal or other food items which wouldn't require gas! My room, although spacious and warm, had black coloured damp marks in the wardrobe, on the walls and ceiling. The two windows in the room did not shut or seal properly and was on the coldest night of the year so I had to improvise by wedging the complimentary soap under the latches to ensure no cold air came through the windows. Hotel is in dire need of refurbishment, modernisation and TLC. No staff on hand. Had to ring a buzzer at reception which went through to the staff member. No heating in hotel area (probably because of the gas) and was very cold. Electric heater in room though which was adequate. Will not be staying again unfortunately despite the location.
Hotel literally next door to the train station. Room was spacious. Although outdated the en-suite bathroom was quite spacious too. Good TV in room.

United KingdomThe pictures on line do it fare better justice, I don't want to slate this Hotel, it just needs up-dating and a good clean, on arrival the outside looks run down with dirty windows and broken glass on one window, the entrance to the lobby is in need of tidying up and attention to detail. The carpet is old and probably holds the smell of damp and old cigarettes and alcohol. The handle to my room was loose and virtually hanging off the room was spacious but smelt of damp, this was due to the damp and mildew and mold coming from the ceiling. The bed was comfortable but again dated the chair in the room was very unstable, and the furniture dated once again, it just lacked in appearance. The toilet and shower room was clean but looked like it could do with a deep clean. The bottom panel on the shower had been broken so looked an eye sore. The noise from the traffic from the main crossroads was noisy when both windows where open. The breakfast was ok I did not enjoy the hash browns tasted a bit under cooked for my liking and the baked beans also not to my liking. But the bacon was cooked well and was of good quality and the fried egg was cooked well and mushrooms, was not keen on the sausage as well, so the breakfast was ok.it also lacked any atmosphere at breakfast, I was there by myself so back ground music would have been nice.
The coffee at breakfast was good and the price was reasonable.
