We found both the double and deluxe doubles a bit small when you are used to king size.

They lay out was lovey especially the ground floor . The outdoor space is fabulous for the better weather . Loved the tables downstairs for eating and playing board games .

It was difficult to make phone calls with our phones and internet was poor at times with four of us using it.

The host Tom was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The cottage was ideally situated very spacious, well-equipped comfortable and exceeded our expectations. We had a meal at the pub next door and this was very good. The landlord and regular customers made us feel very welcome.

Nothing not to like, a recommendation, would to provide a coffee pod machine and pegs for hanging out washing.

The cottage was beautiful, so well appointed, plenty of room. Outdoor area was lovely. Great location, close to Dalton in Furness. The food at the pub on Friday night were the best burgers ever.

The cottage was loving, had everything you could possibly need. Loads of room. Finished to high standard . The staff at the pub where really nice and friendly. We had food there which was excellent. Couldn't ask for more. Made our break really good. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay there again

Amazing place. Loved everything about it. Host was easily reachable through message if we needed anything. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were great, kitchen was lovely and it was all very spacious and clean. Garden was awesome too with a seating area. Great location too. We had an experience booked at the zoo and it was only a 4 minute drive away. Can't thank the hosts enough for a wonderful stay. Hope to come back soon.

Having to go home, could have stayed for a lot longer

Photos of the property looked amazing which was deciding factor to book the property for the weekend. Happily, I can say that in reality the property was even more than I expected. It was exceptionally clean, very modern (especially kitchen) and very well equipped, lots of space also friendly host. The pub nearby was cosy and even though they didn’t serve food it was a nice place just to go to. I’m happy that we booked it and hopefully I’ll come back there one day.

We came for a relaxing weekend in February, there was plenty of logs, coal and kindling for the log burner and it kept us going for 2 nights, perfect! The property was clean, modern, warm, quiet and comfortable! Exactly what we needed for a child free break with friends!

The owners son was running the pub the week we were there. Some drinks were not available. He was really helpful and friendly. We did not met the owners but understand that they usually run Bed and breakfast rooms too and food on Friday. We were happy self catering but if you did want to eat out you would have to travel into Dalton.

Lovely self catering accommodation it really had everything we could need. Very well set out with comfy beds. The area is rural but with the owners pub next door it was nice to pop in for a drink before 8pm. We stayed for 2 nights but we would happily have stayed longer. The locals in the pub were nice to chat too. Really great place for visiting Furness Abbey and Piel Island.

The cottage is lovely. it has a well stocked kitchen with all the basic amenities, beautiful rooms, cosy outside area at the back and a huge lounge. The hosts are lovely people, very helpful and accommodating. The closest point for the lake cruise is about 30 mins drive, which is reasonable.

Loved the whole place, its huge and enough room for 4 adults, complementary cereal , tea, coffee sugar and toiletries were a great touch and dishwasher and washing machine tablets very thoughtful , loved the onsite peacock and the lovely covered outdoor seating beautifully decorated with everything you need

nice and clean beautiful house specially environment was really nice best place ever one more think I want I been 3 days with my 4 mate we really enjoyed because one of the best moments was cooking we never cook before but on my holiday we got a lot of equipment for cooking like which motivate us to do cooking so yah I Definitely recommend
