As stated in their write up there is no lift. If you have a large suitcase the stairs can be difficult to negotiate but worth the hassle.

Breakfast was cooked as you ordered it. Shower worked and had hot water available. Mattress was very comfortable. Any niggles i might of had dissolved into nothing for me looking out of my window at the sea, weather it was raining or sunshine.

My bed, room 3, was pretty uncomfortable. Maybe my age….my hips were painful. Not much spring in the mattress or bed.

Extremely clean room and bathroom….makes all the difference. Great breakfast. Dining room lovely and clean. Breakfast ladies I met, were lovely and polite.

The owners were friendly and attentive, The guest house was clean and fresh. The location was great, The guest house was situated opposite the bay sea front and had accessibility straight onto the sands. The full breakfast was lovely. My room was fresh and clean with a beautiful view of the bay.

Lovely warm, clean rooms with a comfortable bed and nice fresh towels. All the staff were very welcoming and the landlady was very attentive. Superb value for money considering the amazing breakfast was included. Hotel was also well situated near to town. Highly recommended.

It was in a brilliant location... only 15 minutes walk from the train station but away from all the hustle n bustle of town centre!!! Great sea views and beach.

The bed wasnt quite as comfortable as the last time i stayed..i mentioned this and was assured this would be checked. I realise its good value. However i feel as its still quite cold. It would have been nice to have some heating maybe a couple of hours in the evening and or maybe in the morning..as the room felt cool.

I have stayed at The Berkeley before. Its comfortable. Lovely hosts. Breakfast is good. Good value for the price.

I've had to think very hard to think of anything bad; if nit-picking, the room (Rm 5) is very small - but I guess that's the luck of the draw when booking. I was disappointed the bins weren't emptied and tea/coffee replenished daily. The only serious issue is that the shower was very small and (most importantly) didn't have a grab-handle.

The Berkeley is VERY clean and well-looked after, the breakfast offered is superb, Colette & Mal are both very friendly and helpful, the location is ideal and offers a superb view of the sea.
