Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPremises not really suited to someone of my height (6'03"). The bed was comfortable but it's very small, my feet stuck out the bottom. Staircase again very tight for someone of my height. I hit my head three times on the door between the bedroom and the courtyard. We couldn't log into the TV in the main room on our own accounts, fortunately we had a laptop with us and were able to log in on that.
In a great location on the Cape Cornwall Road. We had no difficulties parking. Facilities very good. The private courtyard garden was excellent as was the washing machine and dryer.

United KingdomNothing - if we had to say anything we would’ve liked some more fire logs if possible for the outside fire pit.
The barn was very cosy and bigger than expected. There was coffee, tea and biscuits available which we thought was a lovely touch. I also loved that the owners had made a folder with useful numbers and information in. We loved the electric fire upstairs also. And the fact that our dogs were welcomed was great!! They enjoyed their stay just as much as we did.

United KingdomHad a bit of trouble getting the living room tv volume controls working properly, but that could very well be just us being idiots haha.
Loved the decor, it was spotless, the bed was amazing, great shower. Was nice to use the courtyard and firepit. The self check in and out. Great, friendly staff on though if needed. Would definitely recommend.

United KingdomAbsolutely no reflection on this property or hosts as it’s lovely, but the neighbouring house’s side gate attached to the property rattled and banged in the wind. Was it a bit noisy during the first night as the bedroom is the other side. Only noticeable as the location is so lovely and quiet. Again not the hosts fault at all but the alley that leads to property front door was littered with dog muck. So you just had to watch your foot when approaching especially in the dark.
Lovely clean cosy space and as per the photos. Had everything I needed for my stay. Great facilities provided. Comfy bed and pillows. Which I even checked where they from as I’ll be looking to buy some now! Great that it’s pet friendly. Close by is a hair dressers and Chinese takeaway. I treated myself to both! And a 10 min walk to the square where there is a Co-op to pick up any bits too. Highly recommend the Dog and Rabbit Cafe for a Cornish breakfast. Cape Cornwall is only down the road to visit also. So much nearby. The hosts were very accommodating with my needs and communication was great.

United KingdomBeing down a small ginnel between roads no dedicated parking. However, good, free parking for the village nearby(ish) but that was about 500m walk away. If you are lucky then you might get on street parking nearby but very hit or miss. Stairs are narrow and have a 180 bend in them so if you do have mobility issues could be a problem
The Barn is lovely. A little smaller than the photos suggest, but not an issue. Well appointed, well decorated, very clean, very comfortable. All the facilities you need. The kitchen was well equipped, cooked our Christmas dinner here! The bathroom was cosy but finished to an excellent standard with a great shower and plenty of, very, hot water. bedroom was small and cosy, standard double was smaller than we are used to, but very comfortable and warm. The owners were super helpful at all stages and responsive to communications. Very accommodating allowing us to check in early as we arrived much earlier in the day than expected. Nice little courtyard to securely let the dog out. Very easy access to local pubs and facilities.

United KingdomCouldn't work the cooker hob, too technical for us! But didn't spoil our trip as we ate out. I'm sure if we wanted we could have contacted owners and they would have been very helpful.
It was really clean and well equipped. Close to amenities and comfortable.

IndiaThis cute little barn really felt like a home away from home. Zoe and Jamie had thought of everything, and there was a detailed guide to help navigate the various amenities and appliances. You get your own little kitchen and sitting area complete with an electric fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooktop, oven, hob, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, utensils and even tea, coffee and sugar. There is a tiny backyard to sit and contemplate about the mysteries of life (weather permitting). We stayed for three nights and by the end it had started feeling more like a home than a hotel.

United KingdomThe TV remotes were a bit confusing (but I eventually figured them out!) Parking can be a bit challanging around school start / finish times but there's always the free public car-park.
Located within a very short walk to the centre of St Just. A really well equipped apartment, freshly decorated with everything you could need for a holiday stay! Very comfortable bed, a fantastic shower and very fast broadband throughout.

This place was truly marvelous! Clean, comfortable, very pleasingly furnished. One can tell, that someone invested a lot of time making it as nice as it is. I always enjoy seeing results of good workmanship 😊 Our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and also, when we had a question, they were immediately available. We went out to eat in the evening…restaurants only a few minutes walk away, and had an excellent dinner. Made a coffee in the morning in the perfectly outfitted kitchen and left very satisfied with our stay…thank you Zoe and Jamie
