TV didn't work, just 1 flat pillow per bed

It was a good location to Villa Park for football match, very basic but fine for one night

Rooms needed updating. showers worked well, but grouting was quite black. Bed needed a new mattress and the 1 pillow each was very flat. Generally needs freshening up.

Staff were absolutely fabulous, friendly and really helpful. The location was good. Food and drink are reasonably priced and very nice.

No tea or coffee making in the room. No cups or glasses for drinking water. Very basic amenities. Thin walls, noisy neighbours. As there's no 24 hour reception cover, you can't complain.

The mattress is in serious need of replacement. The springs are shot! Could do with another pillow. Having only one added to the discomfort. Reception at the bar is a new one on me... there was only one person on the bar and she had to deal with drinks and a few checkins at the same time.

Good location. Good breakfast. Spotless bedroom and bathroom. Despite a busy overpass near the hotel, the soundproofing was very good. Quiet inside the bedroom.

Only downside was I found the bed a little too hard. Also I found it a bit strange to ask for a cash deposit when I'd already paid in full by card .

AS expected the rooms sit behind the pub. It gets busy - especially during the game nights. Sound proofing could have been a bit better

We had the worst night’s sleep ever in a hotel due to the building site next to the property. The road maintenance workers could be heard drilling and hammering from around 2am all through the night. As a result, neither of us slept and were in no fit state to do all the things we wanted to do the following day so it totally ruined our weekend away.

Friendly staff checked us in and explained all details of our stay including check-out times, breakfast, etc. The bar staff, despite being busy, were friendly and polite at all times. The location to Villa Park is fantastic, just a few minutes from the stadium itself. It’s also just a short walk from Aston station so very convenient all in.

Being charged £8 for parking (due to the date being a match day) when the property has the parking advertised as free. Also photo id taken. No email was received advising of this. Also the bed was small, with the roller blind in the room damaged.

No access to Wi-Fi. The TVs of neighbouring rooms were audible through the walls, which made sleeping a little difficult.

Nicely sized room with good aesthetics. Has a TV for some entertainment. Comes with all the basic facilities you'll need, and towels & soap for showering.

The rooms are very basic, but clean. I wish there were more pillows (we had only one per person and very flat). Also, it would be great to have a kettle in the room. We also didn't have wifi, so we couldn't log in to Netflix in the evening and watch a movie with our kid since bar was too busy and crowded after the match to hang around with under 18.

The location of this place is brilliant. We came to see the Aston Villa match, and the hotel is just a short walk away from Villa Park. They also served breakfast in the bar, which was good value for money and very handy since there are not too many places nearby to dine. Bar has a great vibe for any Aston Villa supporter, and we'd definitely pick this place again if coming to the match.

1.) We were staying here Saturday night and the pub had loud music going on untill late. 2.) the springs from mattress poke your body. Very bad quality cheap mattress. Go there with your own duvert which can be used as additional layer on the mattress. 3.) no locks in bathroom for triple sharing room..!

Beds were awful so uncomfortable dont get me wrong i dont expect a simba but it was terrible, had noisy neighbour but that's not hotels fault but maybe could have told them to keep it down, tv didn't work in room.

Band and music were great. Staff were really friendly, Beer was priced well. Right by the mighty villa.

Nothing negative to say other than it would be good to have hooks or a towel rail in the bathroom for hanging up towels.

I booked this hotel specifically because I was attending a match at Villa Park, the location of the hotel is perfect as it's just a short walk from the hotel. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable.
