There was nothing not to like! Very welcoming and relaxed, wonderful food, lovely room, very clean and peaceful with spectacular views. The village is a delight and the location is so central to the many things on offer around Snowdonia. Highly recommend.

The location is exceptional though the road in is a bit scary if a car is coming out. Arrive later in the day is best. The house is peaceful and charming. All the staff are friendly and professional. Meals are great and it's so relaxing. The village is lovely with plenty of low level walks as well as taxing ones nearby. You won't want to leave.

We enjoyed the delicious breakfast very much and noticed some ingredients were local . The staff were pleasant and attentive . Eating in the conservatory was pleasant with views onto the garden , a great setting . We had a long journey over from Normandy, arriving in the evening for one night on route to meet our son who chose Sygun ,we were made very welcome and enjoyed the evening sitting by the log fire

It's a narrow road and an even narrower driveway up to the house, so don't go with too wide a car! Golf size is fine.

A little gem of a place, felt like home away from home. Excellent breakfast with a wide range of choice. Honesty bar for the evening and plenty of comfy spaces to chill. They offer dinner which we must try next time as the menu looked good.

The twin room for myslef and nephew was a little small however very comfortable and clean. I made a late evening reservation on booking and unfortunately the Booking.com confirmation wasn't sent to the hosts on time by the site. However the hosts did everything to provide us with a very nice last minute room and we had a lovely albeit stay.

Cleanliness. Comfort. Peace and calm. Incredible breakfast and gorgeous house. A range of healthy tasty prodcuts for my continental breakfast . Also a British traditional breakfast for my nephew- both beautifully presented. Hosts were very polite and extremely kind despite my arrival late into the night they did everything to accommodate us at the last minute. I will come again with family.

A couple of practical suggestions: bathroom facilities need upgrading with a fan and handrails to assist getting into the bath in order to have a shower. A shower cubicle would be even better.

The ambience, friendly atmosphere, beautiful setting.

The track from the main road to the hotel was very narrow and pedestrians had to be careful.

Breakfast very comprehensive and well prepared. Evening meal on 2nd night was very tasty and in a lounge with log burning stove - very cosy and enjoyable.

We stayed with Jay and the team for 4 days / 3 nights over Easter. From the moment we arrived they couldn’t have been more welcoming. Every one of the team were overly helpful and accommodating. Everything was clean and tidy, breakfast was divine, location was perfect and only a short 10 min walk from the village. Personal touch’s throughout such as torches for us to take out in the evenings, a help yourself honesty bar, they even made us a pack up for when we couldn’t make it to breakfast one morning as we were leaving too early that day to go up snowdon. We’re already talking about going back to wales and I really don’t think we would even bother looking elsewhere to stay as really couldn’t fault it! Thank you so so much to the Sygun Fawr team as what a stay we had !

Place was in an amazing location I even like the drive in and out and it was very secluded not many people would venture out there. Room clean and tidy and even had our room made up and cleaned the next morning we didn’t no about so was a nice surprise to come back to. Staff was brill the chap who seen us in and out and spoke to was brill very helpful and the dog buster made it all that bit more homely, the girls doing the breakfast was polite and did a great job as well would definitely be back and recommend for any one travelling to north wales.

Plenty of choice at breakfast, hot or cold, healthy or not so much! The area is spectacular and the walk from the hotel into the village is about 15 minutes and very scenic. The steep driveway to the hotel really tests your stamina after a long walk. Keith and Jay could not have been more welcoming or accommodating 😊 will definitely return.

Sygun Fawr’s owners are wonderful, very welcoming and helpful. They had thought of everything you could need and were quick to suggest ideas of things to do. Within the hotel there was a place for everything- multiple sitting areas with lovely views, self service honesty bar, cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove. The breakfast was hearty with more than enough selections to suit most people’s needs. Finally, the position of the hotel in the valley was perfect to feel completely away from normal daily life. Local pubs were well within walking distance although be aware of that hill back after eating meant it added a few mins.

Narrow road taking you to the hotel can cause heart attack. Thank god we didn't have to pass with the other car.

Fantastic location and lovely place to stay, made to feel totally at home by Kieth and jay, the room and bed were very comfortable with a lovely view over the gardens. The honesty bar was a fantastic idea with plenty of beer and wine to choose from. The breakfast was amazing with loads of choice, probably the best I’ve ever had. We had a chance to have our evening meal there and once again it was lovely with a lovely choice of desserts.
