There is no elevator and that was not clear for us when we booked the room. Breakfast was great, except the very bad marmalade on the tost.

Unfortunately there was a wedding the night we stayed so it was quite noisy in our room until that finished at midnight. I can imagine it is lovely and peaceful otherwise!

Gorgeous countryside hotel in lovely grounds. Large room with convenient cheating plugs beside the bed. Super dog friendly and delicious breakfast.

The hotel were incredibly helpful at check-in. We were allowed into our room early so we could head off on time for a family wedding. All of the staff were helpful and polite. Our room was comfortable for our one night stay. Breakfast was delicious.

Very comfortable room, good hospitality tray and excellent food. We had dinner one evening and breakfast on both days of our stay and found it all to be delicious, varied and plentiful.

The setting and grounds are lovely. A lot of thought has gone into creating a pleasant and tasteful environment. The staff were friendly and helpful, but not in the least intrusive.. the food was exceptional, both at dinner and breakfast. This hotel is a real find. We have booked in for our return journey too!

There is no Internet in the room we stayed in , small TV for large room with only a couple of channels available. Bed not very comfortable.

Lovely setting, clean, tastefully decorated. Dog friendly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our accommodation was huge! Fantastic views. Evening meal and breakfast both good.

Only stayed one night for business, arrived late and was given a nice room at the back of the hotel. The bed was comfy, there was a great tea and coffee selection with biscuits, indeed the room was really nice and I had a very good nights sleep. Breakfast was freshly cooked and really good quality, one of the nicest I have had in a hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Room and bathroom were a little cold at times but expected in large old country house rooms.

Welcome was good and all staff were caring. We well looked after. Breakfasts were good because they were cooked to order. Evening meal was good - again simple fare prepared and cooked well - something that some hotels just cannot achieve these days.

We stayed in room 11. Very small room for two people, bed very close to one wall. Dressing table in dark area, lighting not very good for applying makeup. No where to hang towels in bathroom or shelves to put cosmetics on. No shelving in shower to put shampoo or soap on. No door to bathroom. Blind opposite entrance to bathroom broken / unable to close.

Good quality and selection of food for breakfast. Did not have evening meal. Overall the hotel and location were excellent.

There was no soap in the bathroom. Bathroom tiny could have been more space between the toilet and sink. The room was very small, couldn't walk around both sides of the bed, had to sleep on 'the wrong side' as I have an injured back & couldn't climb over to the other side of the bed.

Lovely staff, good breakfast, great views. Very welcoming even though we arrived very late, happy to get us a drink.

I had to return to reception to get the code for the WiFi, which worked well in the main part of the hotel, but there was little or no signal in my room. This was compounded by the fact that there was little or no mobile phone reception in or around the hotel. I needed to take breakfast at 7:30, which is the start of their breakfast service, so I was asked to pre-order the night before. Despite doing this, my breakfast was not available on time and other guests, who did not pre-order received their food promptly. I had to leave having only had a cup of coffee.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the process of checking in was straightforward. The location in amazing and the grounds of the hotel are large and well maintained. The bedroom was well appointed with a comfortable bed, several chairs and ample storage for cloths. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water
