The property’s location was very private, your own little corner of the garden. The views from the garden are amazing! The cottage is close to Hawkshead (few minutes drive, about half an hour by foot). Everything you need is inside the cottage and more! We felt very welcomed by the amazing basket of the nice owners. Thanks!

I personally didn’t mind this but others might - there is a peacock and chickens which are quite loud. But as I say this didn’t bother us at all.

The property is in a perfect location and was ideal for us for hiking. It had everything we needed, was spotless and the owners were very friendly and informative. We would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Beautiful location , tucked away and private, but easily accessible to both mountains and towns . The cabin itself is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, including a welcome hamper containing essentials and more. The cabin is exceptionally clean and well maintained, with homely touches that add to the comfort and enjoyment of ones stay. Our hosts were friendly, approachable and friendly . We will definitely be back

It was a wonderful property hidden away in the woods. Exceptionally clean and the perfect size for a couple. Beautifully decorated and a fully stocked kitchen! There was a bottle of wine, bread, eggs, juice, cheese and meats left for us in the fridge. A great surprise! The hosts were so friendly and full of lots of local knowledge and advice. We really appreciated it! Highly recommend!

The location, the views, and it was so cosy. Just a great little place. Dave who looked after us was an excellent host. Ideally located just outside Hawkshead, with easy access to most places. We wanted a relaxing retreat and we got just that.

The property is set in a sweet area of the Lake District with views from all over the property. The cabin has all the facilities to make an enjoyable and relaxing stay and the treats left in the fridge and bottle of red wine were a surprise that was most welcome, and delicious, after a long day’s drive. David and Carey were so lovely to chat with and shared all their local knowledge about the surrounding areas for us to enjoy. They were wonderful hosts and we really had a lovely stay with them.

A cosy, secluded cabin with lovely views, accessible to nearby towns and villages with a very accommodating host. Perfect for a few nights of solitude for one or two people.

if you are elderly or have mobility issues it would be a challenge getting to the property as the hill is quite steep and only has steps and gravel right at the front of the cabin, we were fine but it was very slippy and we had to be cautious and watch our footing. it was very well lit with security lighting

ideal for 2 people, very quiet location, stunning views and lots of walks straight from the property, cabin was well appointed with everything we needed, and very cosy.

What a wonderful stay we had in a beautifully tranquil setting. The self catered lodge has everything you need for a secluded break and is ideally situated for walks and visits to the nearby lakes and villages. Hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend.

The Summerhouse was self-contained with everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing week in the quiet of the Lakes. On site parking and a lovely welcome pack made our stay very comfortable. Carey is a great hostess.
