Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was a good size, but the room was tired and needed some attention. The lock on the door was hard to use and when I thought it was broken and rang reception the man was very rude.
The location was great.

United KingdomThough the Studios provide guests with excellent information about the local area some instructions for the appliances like the microwave and oven would have been useful as we found ourselves guessing what the oven symbols meant! Also the lighting could have been brighter for cooking purposes.
We used to live in Zone 4 outer London before moving to Scotland and found this location ideal for a London visit as it was near a bit of everything London has to offer but only a short walk from the mainline station we arrived at and left from. Discovering that it was affordable to stay somewhere like Cartwright Gardens rather than a identikit chain hotel on a main road was a wonderful surprise. We were at the back of the building so it was exceptionally quiet and peaceful for London. If you are not very good with narrow stairs ask for a room on the Ground Floor or First Floor. Being able to cook our own food was far more convenient and a lot cheaper and healthier than eating out all the time. Unlike many similar self catering apartments we've stayed in there was a proper hob and oven as well as a kettle, toaster and microwave. The staff on reception were super helpful even arranging for a light bulb to be changed in our room. Being able to leave our bags at reception after checking out on our last morning before catching our train home meant we were able to fit in seeing another exhibition.

United KingdomNothing really.
My studio apartment had everything needed for a comfortable stay within a compact space. Good quality kitchen area with cooker, fridge and all utensils, except possible those suitable for a non-stick pan. Very comfortartable bed. Self-service laundry area in the basement. A pleasant, quiet location, despite being near Euston Road. I appreciated the helpful staff.

CroatiaThe smell in the bathroom (also small) was like someone constantly frying onion and there were little flies in there all the time. The bed was comfortable, but a bit small, there's place for a little bit bigger bed. The TV is fixed so we couldn't plug our Google Chromecast, so we watched British TV which was fine also. Everything else was great.
The location is perfect for a first time visit, near almost every line of the underground. At walking distance from Soho. The apartment is small, but equipped with a full kitchen and utilities. The window opens.

PolandThe kitchen accessories were not so clean. I am not a fan of the window blind. I think the water valve in the shower is probably not working correctly, bc it changes from very hot to very cold water immediately.
I liked the location, having a kitchinette with a fridge and a heater. It's also nice that you can do the laundry, bc washing machines and dryer are available to use between 8-20.

United KingdomIf you have trouble with stairs, check that you are not on the top floor, though the view from there was nice! My apartment would have been a bit cramped if there had been 2 of us, there may be bigger rooms.
So convenient. Location was great for me. A few minutes from Euston and the staff allowed me to leave luggage until my train time. I was alone and the apartment was fine for a single. Very good shower. Kitchen cleverly managed to squeeze in everything essential, including a fridge and freezer. Cartwright Gardens is a beautiful crescent and it was lovely to have the little park and tennis courts to look out on.

ColombiaThere is not elevator and the stares are narrow, not a deal breaker for me but it’s definitely an inconvenience.
Location is very good, the neighborhood is nice with restaurants, supermarkets and multiple transport options. After reading many reviews here I was concern about the size of the studio, but the large studio was ok for London standards.

United KingdomWe banged our heads on the kitchen cupboard, no serious bruise but something to watch out for. Inside the building and the corridors, doesn't feel welcoming.
Location is good. Next to a garden and tennis court. Nearby are many shops and train stations, very convenient. Not too noisy. High ceiling in the room in exchange for tight room. The room has everything for a short stay, we managed to cook some meals, and had them there too.

United StatesLaundry had to be finished by 8pm a bit limiting when out all day till late. Apt and building a bit worn, not updated. Major work outside on facade so workers there making noise as early as 8am.
Location was terrific. Close to underground and RR. Nice restaurants near by. Kids from college houses across green. Apt had everything needed. Loved the laundry too.

United KingdomBe warned, when you arrive you’re greeted by scaffolding covering the whole front of the building. The photos on the website are not representative of the room and make it look much bigger and in better condition than it is. The appliances and surfaces are pretty dingy and in need of updating. The old lumpy mattress that really needs to be replaced. The tiny bathroom and tiniest shower I’ve ever been in, and I’m 5’5”. The single glazed windows - the birdsong woke me at 5am every morning!
Location was excellent. I loved that I could come ‘home’ from a long day and cook for myself in the tiny kitchenette. Cartwright Gardens is a quiet haven, and my Large Studio on the first floor overlooked the garden at the back. The high ceilinged room was big enough for one but would be tight for 2. There is plenty of storage in the room.

United KingdomNothing major. My room was good for one person. Kitchenette but couldn't open cabinet door which likely contained cups and plates. Not an issue for me. Street level room in separate building around the corner from the main location. Curtains didn't completely close and were thin, not blackout, so light early AM.
Very competitive pricing for the location. Short walking distance from Euston and King's Cross stations (mainline and tube). Straightforward check-in and check-out.
