Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSee above about sharing toilet.
Convenient location, small but clean room, and plenty of tea/coffee. Shower in room very good, pity about having to share a loo, but actually I didn't see anyone else. Hotel was quiet, reception lady very pleasant and helpful.

United KingdomThe bed was quite uncomfortable. The plantation shutters let in a lot of light so it was hard to sleep in.
Strawberry Fields has a very good location. We had an en-suite sea view room which large and bright. Staff were helpful.

United KingdomNo fridge No microwave A mini hotel has to feel homely if i want to stay for two weeks cannot be buying food morning afternoon and night as you can’t eat cold food and some food will get you sick. At least they should have a kitchenette if they cannot put microwaves in every room just to warm the food and considering the weather was not as warm food easily gets cold.
Close to all amenities

United KingdomNo breakfast Broken mattress No cleaner for 2 days
Loved strawberry fields & our room (main front room) was spacious & clean. Mattress on main bed however needs replacing as dips & was uncomfortable. Cleaners didn’t come in until we left even though we left the door tag. Would be ideal if they offered a breakfast & had a reception area when arriving & departing. Staff were helpful & location couldn’t be better. Thanks for having us. Would definitely return.

CanadaI've never slept with my head so close to the front door of a hotel before. The door to our room was just inside the front entrance, so close you'd mistake it for the office. So every time someone came into the hotel, it felt like they were coming into our room. And the double bed was so poor. Just springs at this point. When I rolled over it popped and groaned like I was playing guitar. If you get the TV to work, you're a smarter person than I am. 😂 Note -- the 'fourth bed' is a single mattress that slides out from under the third bed, covering the floor between the two real beds. So if four people stay in the room, you'll have a solid mass of bedding to navigate.
The location was perfect and the room was plenty big enough for three adults. There was on-street parking across the street that let us park in the same spot overnight, which was a real bonus. I think we got the worst room in the hotel (see below) so if you took a different room, this could be a real gem of a place.

United Kingdomthe rooms could do with updating (carpet & side table shelf) we changed room from the attic to the basement as we wanted a private bathroom, but this was a personal preference. I would’ve also felt safer if the windows had a latch as i didn’t like that when opened someone from outside could’ve opened it wider.
the basement rooms were much better and the bathroom was nice and modern.

United KingdomCarpets frayed round the edges and the shutters were broken. I felt like single guests weren't important to them as that was possibly the smallest roon I've ever slept in! The guy that checked us in was OK, can't comment on any other staff as I didn't meet any.
The location was great. The room comfortable enough, but dated and shabby.

United KingdomNo cupboards or shelves to unpack clothes.
The location is about a 2 minute walk from the beach front, a little walk from the pier, and in the opposite direction a quick walk to the high street where all of the shops and restaurants are. Bus stop is 2 minutes walk away. The location is quiet with a quiet road. The reception team are friendly, attentive and helpful. Room heating was warm. Check in was easy. Wi-Fi is good. I liked the attention to detail with the coffee station that had milk and a biscuit.
