Gillian and Brian were the BEST hosts. They gave us advice on where to hike and even provided wellies for us to use. They were so friendly and attentive, and our son had a great time playing with their children. Their location is a beautiful and relaxing setting as well.

Normally we stay in accommodations in a lower price range, but we decided to treat ourselves. What a good decision! We were welcomed very warmly by Brian and Gillian, and we immediately felt at home. The bed, the small kitchen, the shower, the location: everything was just right. The sauna that came with our pod was heated up for us whenever we wanted. We felt very welcome and spoiled.

The pods are so cosy and really well laid out, with the most stunning views. Gillian & Brian made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Brian had warmed up the hot tub to the perfect temperature for us. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back

Sauna . Cabin . Views. Bed .we loved everything . Absolutely stunning place and very relaxing. Owner first class and very welcoming and go extra mile to make sure your stay is excellent. Highly recommend this place I certainly will be using alot in future . Views of loch Lomond and Ben Lomond made it even more special. Out all places I've stayed and I've stayed in thousands of hotels this is my favourite place 👌👏. Take my advice and try this place as you will not be disappointed.

We had the most amazing stay at Stoneymollon! Brian and Gillian were amazing hosts, very accommodating of our arrival time, had the best recommendations for food. The hot tub at night was gorgeous, with a star-lit sky and beautiful essential oils! The cabin was so cosy and clean. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic stay with stunning views and an easy commute from Glasgow!

Just back from a 2 night stay here celebrating post law assessments for the semester & it was sooo special! Aside from the cosy pods and how special they are, the owners are just amazing people and make your experience one to remember! Cant thank them enough for being so kind & catering to us! The furry friend they have is an absolute bonus as well! Could not recommend a nicer, cosier getaway in such a stunning place surrounded by amazing views & walks ❤️ We will definitely be back if not for the hot tub & pod, but for the beautiful doggo!! Thank you so much.

We didn’t like we loved the breath taking views , especially at night looking over the town . The pod was perfect warm and cosy , everything we needed , the hospitality from brian and gillian was fabulous , very friendly and eager to help with our stay , to which they did showing us some great walks through the forrest looking over the loch . A bit of luck we got some snow , not so keen normally but sitting in the sauna with the views and some nice whisky’s from brian ( lovely touch ) made a great stay even better . We will defo be back !!!

To be honest, over two months have passed since my family and I stayed the one rainy night at Stoneymollan and I’ve been selfishly avoiding writing a review because it’s such a special and magical place, I don’t want to share! Alas, I owe the proprietors a glowing testimonial. Their kindness and gracious hospitality was a highlight of our trip. The accommodations were so cozy and view so beautiful, we didn’t mind being stuck in at all. Thankfully, it cleared up the next morning and we were able to enjoy a lovely walk along the property. We can’t wait to go back.

We strongly recommend Stoneymollen if you wish staying around Loch Lomond. The house is located in a very quiet area within 5 minutes driving from Balloch city. The accomodation is very original and is well equiped and clean. The view upon Balloch, especially at night, is great. Gillian and Brian are caring persons and they gave us some good tips to visit the magnificient region of Loch Lomond. Not to mention the whisky tasting evening that was very much appreciated and enjoyed by everyone despite the rain...ahah !!

The fact that we were only staying one night. If you are out late at night, be sure to have a torch, as it is a long dark path back to the site. Cannot think of anything else.

The hosts Gillian and Brian were really helpful. They gave us milk, offered lifts into Balloch, and were very helpful with walking guide into Balloch. The pod was very clean and was kitted with good quality equipment, towels and bedding. The other plus was meeting Bonny, the dog. She is a lovely dog, who likes to meet the guests!
