What creates a pleasant impression of the city you visit? First of all, this is the place where you first settle. We were very lucky that we were able to choose such a wonderful place with a good location and a very sensitive and kind owner, David. If you got to the city by bus and when you leave the bus station you immediately get to the apartment. This is a spacious and comfortable apartment, with all amenities, with stunning views from the window. Just sit down and make a movie. I recommend to everyone.

David, the host was exceptionally helpful from the minute we booked - including meeting us onsite, assisted with our luggage and providing info about the property and area. The property was generously provisioned with wine, coffee, fresh milk, chocolates, biscuits - all of which were delightfully unexpected and absolutely appreciated. The location of the property is fantastic - so close to all attractions, the main train station and other transport options. The fitout and the ambience of the property is superb - right down to the beautiful Christmas Tree in the living room considering our stay was over the Christmas period and we were a small family group. I highly recommend the property to any small family group or couple coming to stay in Edinburgh wanting to be in the heart of it all and feel very much at home!

The stairs but apart from this, everything is good.

David met us downstairs because we just failed to locate the exact location of the building. He was also being flexible to let us leave our luggage there after check out for a few more hours. This was a great help to us.

A very comfortable apartment in the perfect location for transport , shops and sightseeing. David was very helpful and left food, chocolates, flowers etc which was very thoughtful. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay there again when we visit Edinburgh. Highly recommend staying here.

There was nothing we did not like.

David met us at the apartment to let us in and show us what was what. David is the best host we have ever had anywhere we've stayed: above and beyond with everything, from little extras to information on where to go!!! Excellent. The apartment was beautiful and clean, with everything you needed for your stay. The apartment is in the best place with the bus station, tram stop and taxis a stone throw away. Lovely award winning chippy 10 minutes walk away, gallery across the road; everything you could need or want is on the doorstep and train station a straight walk down from or to the apartment. Loved it and we will stay again when we go back up to beautiful Edinburgh.

As other reviewers have said the bathroom is a squeeze and you need to concentrated when ascending/descending the well worn stone steps to the apartment.

Those steps going up to the flat! They're just old in keeping with the building but hard to negotiate in heels!!

I loved the personal touch. David met us at the apartment and his communication skills prior to our visit were fantastic. We love the high ceilings, the locality - so central. So modern as well. David provided bread, butter, jam, fresh fruit, crisps, filter coffee, tea, milk, biscuits and all the toiletries were M&S - very very well appointed.

The access stairs were a concern for us due to a mobility issue, but we managed okay.

Location: So central, close to the Portrait Gallery, Waverley Station, good restaurants, and a massive shopping complex. Transport: Close to Waverley Station and even closer a stop for the tram that can take you out to the airport or down to Leith. Comfort: Quiet, clean, spacious (except for the bathroom) Support: David was a most welcoming host, providing lots of local information

The only complaint was just the size of the toilet bowl space, because for us (with an average height of 170 cm) is not that comfortable to do the number 2.

Beyond my expectations. Your accommodation was truly helping us adjust to Edinburgh's magical weather. The location was near the bus station, tram station, and centre of the city. So many complimentary for breakfast, and the bathroom facilities were superb! The beds are comfortable, the windows are big with nice views, and a lot of space for big pieces of luggage.

Excellent is too little to say. An elegant apartment, well equipped, located in the center, close to all means of transport, with a wonderful view of the Portrait Museum with the look of a Victorian castle. David, the owner welcomed us making the installation very easy ours. Thank you David for your attention and for the bouquet of carnations and snacks from the kitchen.

David's apartment exceeded our expectations in many ways. The place is very clean. Nice and bright, with big windows in all rooms, especially the living room, big bedroom and kitchen. living room and the big bedroom overlooks the portrait museum, which was a nice historic building. David was warm and welcoming. met us at the apartment upon arrival, and explained things in the apartment. He also gave us a list of things to explore around the city, which was super helpful. The apartment is equipped with full kitchenware, and a washing machine. a nice break from our hotel stay earlier in the UK trip. The location is superb, short walking distance from the train station, and walking distance to most of the attractions in the city. loved our stay and we look forward to our future trips to Edinburgh.
