The walls are not sound proof, so one has to hope for quiet neighbours. That was the case when I was there, although I did get woken up when she came in and when she went to the (shared) bathroom (a very well equiped and tidy one) in the middle of the night. I should have brought some earplugs and I wouldn't have noticed..

The BNB in located near Southend Airport, so it is very convenient for those who fly out early. I came to visit a relative in the vicinity who lives a short busride away. There is also a railway station which takes you in the Centre of London in under an hour. Across the road there is THe Anne Boleyn a typical English Pub with a very large offer of dishes and drinks at affordable prices. The BNB itself : excellent breakfast and friendly owners. Don't go there with the expectation to be in the middle of a bustling centre. It is away from shopping areas etc. But they can easily be reached by train and bus.

No particular thing or service failed expectations; the venue provides excellent access for flights in and out of Southend on Sea airport principally, but as we experienced would be equally convenient and accessible for anyone attending an event at nearby Apton Hall.

The breakfast was perfectly fine and satisfactory prior to an homeward journey of around 3+ hours by car. The venue was chosen for its closeness to a family event we were attending on a Saturday afternoon. We needed satisfactory (ie clean and comfortable) overnight accommodation only, no fancy requirements or specific needs. The hosts were welcoming, cheerful and helpful - and provided good service.

Sparkling clean, very cosy, incredibly comfortable bed with high quality bed linen. Shared bathroom is crystal clean and very well maintained same as everything in this beautiful B&B! This is an amazingly comfortable place to stay if you have late/early flight. The location is easily available by walk from airport/train station (straight road 20min). Opposite there is nice pub with good food and beer. The host is kindest and nicest person in the world! Finally, by train it’s just 40 min from Liverpool street London… I wish to come back!

Shared bathroom was lovely and super clean, personally I prefer an ensuite, however, it did not deter from a comfortable stay.

Can’t fault my stay. Loved it

I’ve friendly owners, nothing was a problem. Pleasant room, warm and decorated well. Internet facilities was good and stable connection. Bathroom facilities was good too, good shower pressure and constant hot water, again, well decorated. Breakfast was pleasant too, good choice. Overall, a pleasant stay and will definitely return.
