The host was very friendly and gave us so much good advice on places to eat and how best to get to various locations. Our room was immaculate and the bed so comfy. The room had everything you would see in a hotel and extra touches too. This house has a beautiful bathroom!

Oh I was lucky to find Karen's place. A shared home. Absolutely 💯 so very very clean/quality/fresh/bright/warm and airy. Breakfast continental was great I helped my self to cereal toast / Yogurt/ fresh coffee. Really perfect absolutely suited me. Thank you a safe clean perfect find ! X

Karen is a great host, I cannot remember how many times I have stayed here, but the welcome is always great. I stayed in the single bed room downstairs which now has a TV for streaming sites like BBC i Player, Netflix, etc Good communication from Karen before arriving and space to park my car on the front of the property. As I have said before, it is almost the same as being at home.

Where to start with this one when i first made the booking i had to cancel twice due to train strikes, Karen was so understanding and allowed me to rebook it for a later date which I finally made and I'm so glad I did. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with a friendly face and warm personality with Karen, she made us feel instantly welcome as if we were family, she showed us around and explained everything to us. The room was beautiful so many little touches that make sure a big difference we where provided with a very comfy and warm bed, which I find are very hard to come by when your booking a weekend away, along with hot water bottles and the best dressing gown I have ever worn honestly I wanted to take it with me! When we come back to the room in the afternoon we had a loverly box on the side with everything you might have forgot, the box contained a tooth brush and tooth paste, Deodorant, dry shampoo, pads, body wash and shampoo. We also had all the coffee and tea making facilities and quality biscuits. Not to mention the sky light gave us an amazing view of Brighton at night. I slept like a baby and felt very refreshed this morning, I will definitely be staying here again I would highly recommend Karen's to anyone looking to book some time away, you won't be disappointed.

Nothing - it was all good!

I was in Brighton for a 3 day fair and South Downs View turned out to be the perfect place to stay! Comfortable, spotlessly clean, with 24 access to the kitchen to make coffee and tea and use all the facilities, as well as to choose from a wide range of the uncooked breakfast provided at a time to suit myself. Excellent bus service to central Brighton with the bus stop just around the corner which meant that I could leave my car there, saving on the exorbitant parking fees in the city. I totally recommend this property as the ideal home from home place to stay to relax and recuperate at the end of a tiring day. Karen is delightful and very helpful.

The house is very clean and tidy. My room was comfortable and looked newly decoated. I enjoyed my breakfast and eat more then I normally do. There is a place for a car off the road. I enjoyed my stay and love being in Brighton as everyone is so relaxed. Enjoy.

Quiet, comfy bed, immaculate, easy parking. Host very friendly and went the extra mile to ensure that we had everything we needed. The picture does not do the room justice - it was very nice with crisp linen and soft towels

Only one issue that compromised the comfort of the property- the bedroom ceiling sloped steeply over one side of the double bed. Impossible to stand up on that side, and very tricky to get up in the night to use the toilet because of low ceiling.

Very clean, attractive and very well equipped. Friendly helpful host. Good parking. Kitchen and breakfast options provided were excellent. Bathroom sharing caused no problems at all.
