Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomNot a negative but a heads up - Guest book needs more info ie. recycling, bins, hot tub instructions... Lack of cleaning items, bin bags, dustpan etc. Happy to provide my own toilet/kitchen roll etc but I like to look after your home as well as I do my own but can't do that without cleaning items. Not enough comfortable seating in lounge for watching tv and playing board games.
The house is set away from the main road, very quiet and beautifully presented. Finding the property using What3words was a genius idea and definitely helped. Kitchen is stunning and the bedrooms clean and comfortable. A few mirrors in the bedrooms would be lovely. Lovely welcome gift, fluffy towels, dressing gowns, proper coffee mugs and views to die for. Hosts were very quick to reply to communication and solve any issues. A lovely property that I would recommend.

United KingdomSpacious and cozy rooms. We liked the garden most and the view of the castle and sea is amazing! Though the property is in hilly area, walking around was fun. Buses to lands end were easy to get from the nearest stop 200m away. (trip we had to the lands end was great).

United KingdomIt's located up a hill, literally. If you don't have a car you're done for lol. Great for people that love exercise but going to the shops everyday can be a nightmare climbing back up the hill.
I didn't like it I LOVED IT. Shan Mu Inn was beautiful, luxury, perfect, smelled AMAZING, private. If I could give this place 100/100 I would.

United KingdomWhilst the Shan Muu Inn was very comfortable and had most amenities, it is a long hike up the hill to reach if you don't have a car unless you get the bus towards Land's End and get off at the correct stop. We got the Mousehole bus which is a hike. This should have been made clearer on the website, especially as there are no nearby shops to get essential provisions and none were provided.
Very peaceful with lovely views. Plenty of off road parking.

Isle of ManI was surprised that we were supposed to provide our own toilet roll and paper towels for the kitchen, when only one kitchen towel was provided. It was also unfortunate that sound was such an issue - the walls were very thin and the french doors and window from the bedroom onto the lounge mean that there was no sound barrier. Also, it was very easy to hear people using the toilet. The shower head in the ensuite didn't work, and when we looked over the edge it was very mouldy on that side of the tub. It would have been helpful to have a set of wine glasses and more plates, glasses, mugs generally.
The jacuzzi was a really nice feature, as was the wide open kitchen/lounge area. The view was wonderful and very relaxing. It was a nice feature that the room without an ensuite had bath robes provided. Parking was ample, wifi was easy to access.
