The bed in renaissance room! Headboard dangerous mouldings, very sharp and hard to touch. Leg mouldings on end of bed stuck out kept stubbing toe and knocking knees when trying to walk around bed!

The hallway and stairwell were run down.

The front desk and breakfast staff were super helpful and professional. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, the windows opened for fresh air and there was a fan which was helpful.

There were no plugs either side of the bed to charge up mobile phones (had to unplug the landline on one side). The kettle had to be placed on the floor to reach the closest socket. Minor inconveniences but easily remedied.

The location was perfect! Literally a stones throw from the seafront. The room was more of a suite, with a huge bathroom and a little private courtyard. The greeting at check in was lovely and seamless, and the extra touch of balloons, rose petals and a birthday card was a lovely surprise!

Booked the Eden Garden Suite. As name implies, the large room had sole access to a garden which contained a hot tub!. There were also a table and chairs so you could sit outside and have a glass of wine in the evening. Will definitely be coming back.

We were told we had a room upgrade, we got The Geisha room. We did have a laugh about this, a very plain room with one very small Chinese print on the wall. M Not what we would call boutique but still an ok hotel.

We were 3 friends in the family room. There were only one bottle of water there. I asked for more, staff said that there is one per room! which is not the same in other hotels!

Shower was very difficult to operate. No one in reception for check out meaning we had to track them down at the hotel next door. No sign to suggest this just knew that’s where they served breakfast. Price was really high but in line with other Brighton hotels.

The room itself was big and spacious and nicely decorated. Not a bad location for access into Brighton. Staff were very friendly. Great that they offer parking vouchers, not free but cheaper than any parking you can get in Brighton!

I stayed on the 3rd floor and the heat of the room was so warm even with the fan on all night and made it very uncomfortable to sleep.
