Everything was very luxurious with towelling robes provided in the well appointed bathroom, but no toiletries were provided.

The place was very comfortable and relaxing with excellent facilities. The owner had paid great attention to detail in every way. It was spotlessly clean and a nice touch was the bottle of wine and biscuits that were provided. I would highly recommend it for a quiet break.

Directions to find the property could have been a bit more precise e.g. when to turn when coming out of the village - the satnav took us to a different farm. Also, the Wi-Fi and general mobile coverage are a bit flimsy. It may have something to do with the very large mast nearby.

Beautifully furnished property, with plenty of room for storage. A different layout where you go downstairs to bed. Couldn't really find anything we didn't like about the place.

Shower controls were a bit scary! On a more serious note, I would recommend directions to the apartment are provided as typing the post code into the sat nav took us to a farm about a mile away! I suggest something along the lines of “take the turning just outside Calthwaite signposted to “Fieldhead”. After 0.5m, turn right at Sceugh Dyke. The apartments are at the farm at the end of the lane.”

Our sat nav took us to the wrong place. I would recommend using 'what three words'

Extremely well appointed. The whole place is well laid out and decorated but the bedroom, wardrobes and bathroom are amazing! This is very close to the Lakes but also plenty of other, much quieter places. Eden valley has some lovely walks, Hadrian's Wall is not too far, neither is the coast at Silloth not the Pennines! Also, highly recommend a meal at the Globe Inn.

The place was better than the pictures. I would say it is an upside-down house with the living area at the top, which leads out to a balcony with a lovely view, and it was very peaceful just what we were looking for after a busy day out. It was very clean the kitchen had everything you needed, it was like home from home. Lovely place Liz

The location is fabulous. So quiet and peaceful and yet ideally situated for the lakes, the Eden Valley and the Pennines.The apartment exceeded all expectations and the photos do not do it justice. Absolute luxury, well equipped kitchen and everything you could need. We stayed for six weeks while waiting for a new build to be finished and it really is home from home with bells on! The warmth and hospitality from the host was fantastic. We arrived on 16th December to decorated Christmas trees and festive goodies. I could not recommend this place more highly.

Very little. Unfortunately the spa bath was out of order but we were notified in advance and the shower is amazing. Previous reviews complain about using bar stools when dining. I don't mind sitting on bar stools but the ones here are actually too high for the breakfast bar so you are too high above your meal. Although the corner sofa is beautiful and very comfy it's very big for an apartment designed for a couple. I feel if it was a bit smaller there would be room for side tables so you're not putting your wine glass on the floor.

This really is a beautiful apartment. Everything looks and feels luxurious with lots of little touches ftom the low level lighting to the TV in the bathroom. The bed is big and soft but still supportive and I've never seen so much storage as in the dressing room. The laundry room was an added bonus although we didn't need it except to dry bath towels after showering. And what a shower! The bathrobes were also a nice touch. The owner obviously listens to feedback as the WiFi has been upgraded and there are smart tvs; both things previously mentioned in reviews. The complimentary luxury cookies and prosecco were a lovely touch too. We hope to return.
