Parking wasn’t the best, but we managed to get a space so not really an issue. It would have been nice for the outside seats to have been cleaned, but the weathers only just turning nice, so I understand why they weren’t. The hook to keep the back door open and to stop it from swinging about was far too high up, so I had no chance of being able to reach it without standing on a chair. However these are really minor points and didn’t affect my stay.

Lovely little place to come with the dog for a couple of nights. Everything was clean and well equipped. Really well located and only a short walk into the village. We were also lucky enough to have a little back yard which was lovely to sit outside and take in the views. Straightforward check in and check out as it was all explained in the welcome email. Will definitely stay here again.

We were unable to find the TV remote, so we were unable to relax and watch tv which was part of the purpose of the get away, and we struggled to work the heating as it was very cold on arrival, we were unable to contact any staff, they were not answering the phone numbers which were noted down on the welcome pack, and nobody in the office or reception over our 2 day stay. Check in is at 4pm, we arrived at 5pm which by then it was dark, the lighting was quite poor and it took us a long time to find our lodge, as above there were no staff available to help us, and it was stormy and wet which wasn’t nice for trying to find a lodge. The dishes in the lodge were dirty, we had to re-wash the dishes prior to using, and there was a large clump of hair located on the side of the cupboard in the bathroom, and hair in the shower. As above, we saw no members of staff, unable to contact any staff, it states they are available on call 24/7, but over 2 days we were unable to gain contact.

The lodges were very modern and comfortable.

The lodge had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the location is beautiful! The lodge was spotless upon our arrival, the kitchen is well stocked with all of the cooking equipment you need and the information booklet was really helpful. The communal hot tubs and gym were a great addition and the river running by the site was beautiful to walk along with the dog in the evenings. There are some lovely shops and cafes nearby and you don't have to venture far out to find some beautiful walking/wild swimming spots. We'd really recommend spending a sunny day at Llyn Geirionydd, which is only a 15 minute drive away from the lodges. We had a really great stay and we'd love to return.

Given access to a lodge that should never have been let! No heating in main room Oven not working. Bedding not changed since last occupant. No toilet paper. Dirty refrigerator. Dirty worktops. Dusty. Dirty cutlery Dirty crockery. Strong smell of drains. Staff knew of faulty heater.

After our move to another lodge things noticeable improved. Very good location. Visit overshadowed by our comments below.

2 seater sofa for 4 people. Photos did not match in regards fo seating area. Dirty cups and cutlery had to rewash everything. Dirty towelling. No lockable front door that lead to our main apartment doors. Would not recommend or stay again.

The management I deallt with by e mail were inept. By giving me the wrong address (yes seriously!!) they caused me to get hopelessly lost. Unable to get anyone on the phone, I had to get out of the car a no. of times in driving rain, looking for a non-existent road. When I finally found it, the reception area was in darkness so I missed it, finally got a response directing me to a tiny (very inadrquate) plan on the wall (also in darkness). Lack of signage caused me to take yet another wrong turn. In the chalet, the lighting switches & power points are inconveniently placed (eg. my phone charger is 120cm long, but I had to move the bed and heavy set of drawers if I were to reach my phone without getting out of bed. This meant the reading lamp was out of reach!) The bed moved when I moved, which meant pillows falling down behind it, and I had to move it back every day! The bathroom door didn't open fully because it banged against the bed. The smoke alarms are too sensitive. They were set off by a piece of toast which was not burned, just brown (I had not changed the setting), and when I opened the oven to remove my pizza,(which was also not burned). This was in spite l of the extractor fan. They need to be set so that normal, careful cooking can go on without giving your guests a blinding headache. I told the staff, but nothing was done. .

There was nothing it was excellent.

It was quiet and in a lovely location right by the river. There was everything we needed. The staff were really friendly and helpful. All in all a lovely birthday break.
