It advertises itself as a hotel but it isn't. It's a kitchen-bar with rooms. The doors also don't have any lock. The chain lock was broken in my room and they offered me another room but that one didn't have a lock at all. The location was only an issue because I didn't own a car and the buses are never on time, though that's no fault of the hotel. Overall, I think I was mainly shocked because I didn't expect to be sleeping in a bar kitchen type of building.

Breakfast was great and so were the lunch/dinner options. Staff was really friendly and understanding. The room's were clean and comfy.

we had to wait to be checked in, the bar staff didn't acknowledged us until we rang the bell although she could see us and said she'd seen us. After this her colleague arrived and checked us in. Otherwise very polite and attentive staff in restaurant and breakfast room.

Excellent breakfast, beautiful clean room, very comfortable bed, quiet room, nice village feel

Our room was at the top of the inn so wat too many steps to climb with suit cases. The fact that we were so high up also meant that the shower took too long to reach an acceptable temerature.

The staff were extremely accomodating and friendly.

In bedroom 11: Stale smell. Noisy bathroom fan. Wifi router randomly flashing above the bed was very disturbing.

Location. Friendly guy serving breakfast provided excellent service. Breakfast is great value. Downstairs areas are just right (cosy, clean and in good condition). Easy parking.

A bit of a struggle getting luggage to room through narrow and twisting corridors with many short flights of steps - only to be expected in a charming old inn of this kind. But I didn't ask for help, and I feel sure the staff would have helped if I had done so...

Ambience - very helpful staff - good food served with perfect timing, prompt but not hurried - lots of power points to plug in chargers etc. in the room.

My room was close to main road, so there was some noise from cars.

Very nice and helpful staff. Breakfast and meals in hotel were tasty and not pricy. Plenty of parking options around hotel. Old building with typical English atmosphere.

The rooms were quite small. The bed was quite small for 2 people. The room had an upstairs which was cool when you first come in to discover it. But when you get to the top of the stairs the toilet is directly at the top. There is no door to the toilet so if your with your partner they can hear you going to the loo which for some people can also make it hard to go to the loo knowing your partner is just downstairs and can hear you.

It most certainly quirky. It had a really lovely wonky cottage kind of vibe which I found really fun. The staff were friendly and the breakfast in the morning was really well done.

The door to our room (Room 11) made a knock knock knocking noise when guests upstairs moved around. (I recorded it as it was so odd and disturbing!) We thought at first that someone was actually knocking on our door! I informed Kirsty the next morning and she was going to look into it with housekeeping.

The staff were particularly friendly - Katy, Charlie, Georgie and Kirsty.
