We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The property is in an excellent location however when I I booked it was on a Bed and Breakfast basis which rrangrc changed before our stay to Bed only without breakfast. A voucher for £25 was offered or a £25 refund. I asked for a £25 refund at Reception- I spoke to Heather - and was told this had to be arranged through Booking.com. I requested this via the app on 26 April 2024 and to date have not received the refund. Please can you arrange the £25 refund ASAP thank you

United KingdomThe room had sloped ceilings which were quite low in several places, which meant you had to stoop in those areas and felt cramped. Also the shower controls and flushing system for the toilet were quite hard to use.

United KingdomOur room looked clean and tidy but in closer inspection the carpet hadn’t been hoovered, there were holes in it too. Toenails in shower. Shower pressure very weak. Couldn’t heat the room, only thermostat for under floor heating in bathroom. Walls are very thin, upstairs stomping around.
Lovely location. Plenty of historical pubs and restaurants nearby.

From start to finish, I was made to feel welcome. As I always do, I was worried about food options, as I am gluten-free. But they made alterations and had a good variety of food available that I could eat, especially a full English breakfast. The staff were all so lovely and it was an absolute pleasure to spend time there. I even made friends with some wonderful Yacht club members. I will definitely be returning.
