Too hot in the room, the heating was on even though it was a warm day. Stains in the bath, hole in the ceiling in room. The whole hotel could do with a refurbishment. Cheap hotel and you get what you pay for.

Location was good, central to all amenities. Bed was clean. Reasonably priced. Breakfast was OK.

    None as I felt comfortable

Breakfast was good. The staff at the breakfast made sure each person was well satisfied. The staff was very helpful. Parking was not available but they were able to suggest free parking spots. Developing hotel as new management has taken over. But it is worth the money.

Everything! This hotel was smelly, dirty, dilapidated, rude staff, no lighting, noisy, I was booked in for two nights but only stayed for one and that was only because I was to tired to drive the 3 hrs home, I debated staying in my car for the night but slept in my clothes on top of the bed

Absolutely nothing was good about this property

doors and walkways/corridors noisey. unlevel and sloping floors could be a hazard. dated rooms. woken up at 4am with incessant banging on the front door.shouting and swearing trying to get in. a young couple were banging not knocking on the doors for around three quarters of an hour. not good when you have a 3 odd hour drive in the morning. the first room we were given was dusty and generally dirty with paint missing around windows etc. the television didnt work...good job really as we wouldve need binoculars to see it....it was that small. they changed our room after initially saying there wasnt any others available. this was a bit better but still not the cleanest...with unlevel floors, flaky paint and dirty windows inside. wouldnt recommend a stay here. no offer of recompense after pointing out issues.

right opposite the beach. parking in the next street. nice breakfast

It needs major reconstruction, because life there stops in the 20th century, the furniture is old, the rooms smell of old, there was no TV in the room, and if there are any, they are not working, there is no internet, there is no parking... the only plus is that the bed linen and towels are heavy.

breakfast is poor, just simple standard and nothing more, and the location of the hotel is very good

    Everything

Breakfast mediocre, need to learn how to cook eggs. No car parking absolute nightmare. Floor boards on landing felt very unsafe ,as though you were going to fall through it. Loud people coming in at 3pm in the early hours. Furniture fit for the skip. Only good thing was the bedding and towels very clean. Complimentary coffee in sachets and the milk were disgusting.

    - Too hot, and no ventilation as cannot open the windows - No Wifi in the rooms despite this having been marketed and paid for - Only 1 pillow case supplied per 2 pillows! The 2nd pillow just has the bed sheet draped over it, so you have to either use a dirty pillow without a case, or have the sheet moving about to reveal the mattress. We just used 1 pillow and tucked the sheet in ourselves - Floor in corridors feels unstable and moves when you walk on it - Breakfast ok but lacked absolute basics e.g. no napkins, had someone's half eaten jam in our jam bowl, had to ask for butter, only choice of 1 juice, no fruit - No car park - We did not see any other guests at all during our stay (April school holidays), and feel this hotel will struggle to remain open

    - Good location for pier and beach - Very friendly staff - Had a sea view if you looked to the side - Some free parking at side of hotel

There was no free parking as advertised. There was no kettle in the room. The TV wasnt working. The night porter couldnt speak very good english so communication was a problem. We were told the problems would be sorted while we were out but nothing done, the night porter took my partner into the kitchen saying there were no kettles. Other guests woke us at 12 midnight and 3am in the morning shouting banging doors, children running. Other guests were having a party in the lounge area leaving a mess and sick in the night which wasnt addressed or cleaned up in the night. Two men were looking for a room with large bottles of vodka and were not turned away.

The two ladies on reception were lovely and sorted out our problems the next day but when your only staying 2 nights thats not good enough. The bed was comfortable and rooms were warm.

The staff was very rude, they told us we can not leave the hotel after 12am as the door is locked that made us feel like prisoners. We wanted to come out and grab something to eat from a local shop as we haven't had anything to eat and we were hungry but the staff told us we weren't allowed out so we end up going sleep hungry. The pillows were uncomfortable to sleep on they felt quite hard so we didn't get a great sleep either. Room was boiling hot which made it even harder for us to sleep. There was no isolators for the heaters. Windows were very old and only one could be opened. Overrall, it was the worst hotel we ever stayed in. Will never go there again.

Location was great. Everything else was awful

Not that it made any difference to our 1 night stay but its just a classically dated sea side hotel in need of lots of modernisation.

Good location and price. Breakfast was decent enough chaise for adults and kids. Rooms were very clean to be fair For the price it was good for a family of 5 in two rooms.

Quirky and creaky old hotel with lots of character. A little run down but not in an unpleasant way. Right on the seafront. Really lovely staff. Warm and cozy.
