How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Just a powerpoint close to cupboard to boil the kettle or make coffee instead of having to carry it all over to the bedside table!

Coffee maker was difficult. Never worked for us.
Location was great. Was not thrilled with the split stairs for our ages. Requested a room change due to our luggage. Overall it was good for a night. The building free standing fools you. It is a huge white building with several separate small hotels.

- Proximity to Paddington Station and bus stops! So convenient! close to restaurants and shops too. - Comfy beds, Good to have 2 pillows per person - Though the shower and toilet is small, still good as it is clean. - They have small biscuits everyday and coffee, there is kettle, small fridge, free water at the reception.. everything you need is in the room, except for iron but I don't need it. - Room is cleaned everyday, except when you say not to do so - I am not sure of the value for money but as I searched for hotels, I found this as one of the most reasonable prices compared to other hotels, the pictures are the same as the rooms. - The room is small but its okay, I can lay my big luggage on the floor and I can open it.

Initial code for room didn’t work, but they gave us a key. Shower was good but dated. Not really much wrong though, it all worked ok

I was put in the lower ground floor rooms and you can hear the tubes.
Great location. 5 min walk from Paddington station. Off main road, so reduces traffic noise. The room was a good size, clean, modern with a nice shower.

The room was small, bed was large. Strange arrangement that to plug in the kettle or coffee machine you had to place it on the bedside table as there was no accessible plug on the dressing table / work area. Could hear/feel the rumbling of I think the underground train.
Very close to Paddington so convenient for travel. Good choice of cafes and restaurants near by. Clean room and well designed small shower room. Good for an overnight stop.

Unfortunately as it was the night before the marathon - the price was £275 which was too expensive
I liked the cleanliness of the hotel and staff were friendly and welcoming. Good bathroom. Very near to Paddington station.

I think they should consider the global warming and reduce the temperature inside both room and corridors. they should also retrain the reception's team during the day time.
Very friendly and helpful reception's team only the evening time. Evening team, they are really well train and very helpful. Well done them! In addition, it was very clean and well look after.

Staff don’t smile, it looks like they just want to avoid talking to you at all cost. The rooms and hotel have been refurbished recently and the whole place looks and feels impecable. Lifts and rooms are on the small side but for me as a solo traveller was ok. Coffee and nesspresso Machine and cookies was a nice touch who made up for no having breakfast or restaurant.
Location superb, 3 min walk to Paddington station, located in a nice square. Place is nicely decorated and rooms are impecable.

The receptionist was a young girl and I understand she may have been board hense on her phone but you would expect her to look up and greet you or even look up and smile but I stood there for a moment and had to ask can I check in when she just scooted over to the desk and then asked for name and number
In terms of room size it was nice, not the most clean but it was fine( some hairs on bed ect) Bed was very comfortable Expected there to be more than just the rooms in the hotel but I suppose that’s just me not doing enough research but overall very nice
