House was clean and well equipped. Great for a short weekend visit to the Dales.

Road noise, but expected this as written about in many reviews. Fairy lights in the back garden would have been nice. Some lamps downstairs/softer lighting would have been good and a bedside lamp in one of the bedrooms.

Location great for the Dales. Walking up Whernside. Village centre just close enough, 20 minutes walk.

Nothing not to like about the property, just a shame I was working so didn't get chance to visit the local attractions, places of interests & the local pubs/restaurants

Excellent location for me working 10 mins walk away from my job. Very modern spacious property, everything you need & more. Real home from home, I would definitely recommend.

Lack of blinds in kitchen and dining area, being overlooked by houses at the back. Coffee table would be nice.

    Very clean, comfortable beds

Location just off major road was a little tricky to find. Tight entry between properties easily missed. (A neighbour in the next street didn't recognize the address!) Sat-Nav did not identify street but took to next opening. Traffic noise high but double glazing effective.

New property , very well appointed. Kitchen facilities and equipment superb, (even a slow cooker).. All facilities suitable for 6 persons, including chairs and table outside in the rear area. Immaculately clean. Town is quiet but location in the area is good. White Scar Cave, Waterfall Walk, Hawes cheese experience, Kirkby Lonsadale all recommended. This area is renowned for good walks. The outdoor pool near the river was great - but must book.

Next to noisy road which you get used to overtime. A couple extra touches would have improved our stay like oven gloves and toilet brushes.

Lovely modern house. Well equipped with couple of games and maps/leaflets. Comfy beds. Nice to enjoy outside patio area. Plenty to do nearby including visits to Hawes, Settle and Skipton.

The front door needs sorting as an urgent repair. Difficult to lock from the inside and both lock/unlock from outside. Other guests have raised this. Very frustrating. Think parking is tight for any 2 car visits (or larger car) and the visitor parking spot in this development was unclear how impacted house parking. We spoke to the neighbours and they were helpful in explaining matters. We were only one car but the dividing front wall makes the spot to the right of the front door tight to get in or out when the visitor parking is occupied. Along with other residents the hosts should pursue getting a 30mph limit on the road with speed camera as the road entry is tight and not all traffic slows down. The other residents have raised this with the council. Would prefer blinds at the back as no privacy. Neighbours to the rear appear to be able to see in from their upstairs. Understand why not installed. Suggest an explanation of how the bathroom extractor fan and light work together would help. Some guest comments remarked about the extractor coming on (and being noisy) when using the toilet at night having put on the light. Turning the extractor off at the switch at night resolves issue. It operates when switch is on when the light is turned on. Found the sofa was a bit too soft and being low not easy to get up from but this is personal preference. The manufacturer booklet for the washer/dryer had the wrong display screen. The model must have been updated but not the booklet. Found correct one on-line. (Have not seen this type before) The hosts marking is because we had no exchange with the hosts who we understand reside in York. Unusual in this situation.

A well presented and equipped property in a good location for both the Lakes, Dales and west coast. Close enough to Ingleton centre but just outside main area to provide a sense of seclusion. Comfy beds. Loved the breakfast bar.

The only negatives I would say is that the bathroom extractor fan is extremely noisy when it’s not on at night. Also although it didn’t matter to us as a couple, I would think if 6 people we’re staying, there is definitely not enough comfortable seating in the lounge:

very clean, very warm, comfortable beds, lovely linen:

Neighbours on the estate don’t like this house being let out. Road is very busy and noisy. Memory foam mattress’ aren’t for us. Hosts sent us a very rude message after our departure.

Parking could be awkward for two cars. There is a chance the second car could get blocked in. The front door was stiff to close and lock from the inside. We finally figured out that you had to lean against the door in order to lock it. The three major issues though were 1. The bathroom radiator just didn’t work. It was always freezing cold in there, I’m assuming it needed bleeding. This stopped the towels from drying, not the end of the world for a few nights but would have been an issue for a week. 2. The double room at the front absolutely stank of cigarette smoke. It was disgusting. We opened the window for hours on end but as soon as we closed them, the smell returned. Luckily we just staying as one couple so used the back double bedroom instead. But the smell basically rendered the room useless and unusable. We kept the door shut for the entire stay. 3. The deal breaker. The fire alarms were EXTREMELY sensitive, and I mean full use of the word. It was the most ear piercing sound when it went off! We came out to Ingleton for a much needed relaxing, peaceful weekend and our nerves were very much frayed by the end of it. Things that set the fire alarms off; Boiling a pot of broccoli on the hob with the extractor fan on. Running a bath (with the bathroom door closed!) Using the hair dryer, twice. I ended up having to dry my hair whilst sitting in the corner of the bedroom facing the wall! Opening the blinds in the morning and opening the window a crack. We ended up going out mostly in order to not worry about setting off the fire alarms, my blood pressure couldn’t take it.

The place was spotless throughout and the bed was the best bed we have ever slept in. It was so comfortable, the pillows were plump and the linen was soft. The kitchen was very well stocked with an amazing microwave oven and an abundance of kitchen tools and utensils. The underfloor heating was really nice once we got used to controls and the location, 10 mins from town, was perfect.

It didn’t bother me too much but there are no blinds/ window coverings on the kitchen window or the French doors from the dining area/ through lounge into the garden and although the cottage isn’t directly overlooked if the next door neighbours look over their fences they could see straight into the property. For a modern cottage it was unusual not to have any USB sockets- again not a problem for me as I took my charger plugs but thought it was worth mentioning. A small desk/ dressing table and chair in the master bedroom would be helpful too as no where to sit and do hair/ make up other than on the bed- I realise not everyone would need this , It’s just something I personally missed not having.

Rose cottage is a beautiful, clean and spacious property (we are a 2 adult and 3 children family) It has A fully equipped kitchen including a washing machine and dishwasher , oven and hob and microwave. All the bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage and hanging space for clothes. All bedrooms had good quality bed linen and comfortable mattresses. there was also plenty of room for a travel cot in the master bedroom. Downstairs has underfloor heating throughout which was lovely after a long walk! There is also a petrol station a 5-10 min walk away( 1 min drive) which is a Co-op fully stocked with everything you could need. The cottage is on a small plot of 5 houses- we met a couple of the neighbours who very helpful and friendly.
