The location was good. Not too far from the centre, and it's quiet and peaceful. The room was spacious and good for the price. The breakfast goodies are also a bonus.

The bathroom was particularly run down. The shelf above the sink was not straight so everything fell off of it. We did not have any glasses provided to drink water so had to resort to using our coffee mugs. There used to be a vending machine in the lobby containing snacks and drinks, and this is no longer there which was disappointing. Normally we pay a budget price for this hotel, so we can overlook these elements, but this particular time we did not pay a budget price so we would like to see these elements improved, if we are to continue staying here.

We have stayed at Rooms Inn several times now, and it’s a great budget option. Only a 15 minute walk from the city centre (although it’s uphill!) with free parking. It is in an ideal location if you are driving into the city as it is just outside of the new congestion zone, so you can enter and exit the city free of charge. The rooms themselves are quite run down, but they are always clean. The staff are always really friendly and helpful, we tend to stay here for match days and they always let us park our car before we can check in, and for the day after we have checked out.

The tv was glitching almost every channel,when booking this hotel it said breakfast included . The “breakfast” was just a bag with croissant,apple,juice box and a yoghurt. If we knew this before booking we would have picked someone else for the same price that had a proper breakfast so a little disappointed with that.

Seemed a bit scruffy in places. Bathroom especially wasn’t very tidy grout missing. Sink was blocked but they soon fixed it for us.

There are no facilities so you really need to walk into the city centre for bars restaurants etc. Not a problem for me personally but some guests may struggle with the 15 minute walk to the railway station etc.

My upgraded room was large, clean,modern and comfortable . The reception staff are very friendly. Basic grab and go breakfast included in the price which I much appreciated

There wasn't enough tea and milk in the room. The breakfast was the only real disappointment. Not what I expected. But hotel was still value for money. There could also have been more info about local food and drink places.

The room was clean and spacious. Shower was great. Was glad that there was no air-conditioning, but might feel different about that in summer.

The bathroom was very small, toilet paper was very thin, breakfast was mid and there was a male staff member who was a little rude, nothing to serious though

For the price, it was a very convenient spot, staff were kind, having said that, don't expect a premire inn, there's no cooked breakfast, just a packed lunch type thing, for the money it is what it is. Can't really complain, will probably use again! :)

The decor of the rooms is a bit dated and the rooms could do with a refresh. The WiFi was quite slow, but at least it was free (unlike some other inexpensive hotel chains). Not the most scenic location.

Cheap and no-frills place to stay in the centre of Newcastle. Distance to the Fredrick Douglass conference centre is just 10 minutes on foot, and the railway station is not much farther. Quiet location, and a simple breakfast was included in the price. Staff were very friendly!

Was woken up at 1am with fighting and arguing outside our room which went on for about 1hour. But as this was a domestic issue was not the hotels fault.
