Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoom didn't have a mini fridge which was a bit inconvenient but the staff let us use their main kitchen fridge for the baby food. Parking was free but first come first serve, not that many spots. Paid for a room with balcony and a sea view and we had a corner room as such but peeking at other rooms on the way out, I think our room was much smaller almost cramped by comparison, and only partial sea view compared to some of the other rooms -not sure if they had a balcony. However, it was still nice and the balcony was still worth having. Was a bit noisy with people coming past.
Excellent location. Fabulous restaurant on site with great food and great views. Minutes from the beach and walking distance to a playground, other restaurants, viewpoint, tropical gardens, etc. Bonus that it came with Jacuzzi, gym and swimming pool but we didn't get time to use these. Room itself had a nice view, free parking was really useful. Staff were very accomodating

United KingdomThe bed was not comfortable, breakfast was too expensive so we ate out. Just a busy weekend for them, the bar was very noisy, with a lot of teenagers running up and down corridors making lots of noise, but this was not the fault of the hotel. Went quiet after the bar closed and their parents collected their children

United KingdomI want to stress that I enjoyed my stay and these are simply small things that I feel could make a disproportionately positive difference to other guests' experience with relatively little required on the hotel's part to achieve them. No black pudding at breakfast was a slight disappointment. While there was hot drink self-service you had to ask if you wanted tea, which while no fuss just seemed a little bit odd for such a popular drink. Room was a little less modern than I had anticipated on booking. My comment is not about suggesting any investment or updates are needed, in my view everything was perfect. My feedback here is just one of expectation management. What I might find charming and lovely, others might find dated had they anticipated something a little more modern. Spirits wise I was a little disappointed by the lack of selection, for instance no single malts. The price I paid for the drink I settled on was in line with the price I was prepared to pay for what I was hoping for, but the options were limited and if I was not a captive audience due to a wedding at the hotel I might have explored nearby alternatives. I say this not as a complaint but as advice to a wonderful team: given the markup that spirits have, you can't go wrong with a bottle of Laphroiag, a bottle or two of Speyside and a bottle of Highland Park behind the bar. In my experience a slight majority of those who order single malt whisky would not otherwise order a drink at all were it not available; those who find what they seek tend to be satisfied repeat customers and are more likely to choose to eat where they are.
The staff were incredible, all worked very hard, were attentive, efficient and cared about providing a good experience. No unreasonable waits even when they were clearly busy. Decent leisure options. Location is superb, rooms nice and quiet and very clean. The food was of good quality. While there didn't seem to be quite enough parking if at capacity, it's easy to park on-street within a 1 or 2 minute walk and it's a very nice, safe area. Beer and cider prices were very reasonable and perfectly served. They hosted the reception for a friend's wedding and everything was spot on. From the time I spent with the groom the day before I could see how passionate, attentive to detail and flexible the planner was, and every element was delivered to perfection - lovely food for both the wedding breakfast and evening buffet, fast service at the bar, staff visible if you wanted their attention and attentive to anticipating guests' needs but at the same time extremely unintrusive - this is a difficult balance and the team nailed it. Probably the most spacious bathroom I've had in a three star hotel - as a large guy to be able to fit in a hotel bath and feel comfortable is a rarity.

United KingdomThe only problem we had was that the kids menu was not offered to us until we were about to order and then the spaghetti was too strongly flavoured for a 7 year old and inedible but was knocked off the bill.
First impressions are so important and the reception staff were excellent as were the rest of the staff we came across. Eye contact on every occasion as well as a greeting even from the cleaning staff so well done to the manager for inspiring them all. Spotless clean room and a swimming pool that was never overcrowded and a balcony with sea views made for a great experience.

United KingdomPool area needs to be ventilated better
Room was fine, bed was comfortable enough and children's bunk bed was good. Room size was OK , not enormous but big enough for a short stay. Room and bathroom was clean. Facilities were good with swimming pool, table tennis , air hockey and pool table. Please note, when using swimming pool we struggled at first as chlorine smell was too strong causing everyone to cough and eyes to water. The solution to the ventilation problem was opening the emergency exit doors, this provided enough ventilation and we were able to use pool without a problem. Breakfast was nice and enough choice for everyone. We had evening meal once and this was OK, but not exceptional. All of the staff were very nice and friendly. Location is good next to the beach, overall we would recommend the hotel for a short break with children.

United KingdomThe pool although lovely was slightly on the colder side and I couldn’t stay in for long, however my girls still enjoyed it. It wasn’t busy at all so felt like our own private pool. Upping the temp would really improve the facility.

United KingdomI would suggest checking the switches in the room carefully, as one of them was flimsy, it might be ok but would be good to take care of that in advance. Also, the bathroom radiator had some visible wires, it would be safer if they were taken care of and covered. It just didn't look that safe especially if the room is offered to families with children. However, we didn't spend the days in the room and our daughter wouldn't put her fingers everywhere, so all good.
The room was clean and a good size. The food was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. Extra towels for the pool have been really appreciated, as you didn't need to keep and dry them in the room. We requested bed protection for our daughter so she won't fall off from the bed and it was delivered to us in 10 minutes. The location is also really good, only a 5-minute walk to the beach with a good-sized playground for kids.
