Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPool table was on the wonk!
Communication and interaction from staff was amazing. We used this as our base to do zip world and snowdonia and it was perfect. The accommodation was quiet but crossed paths with people at breakfast. The breakfast was above our expectations and staff were SO nice and helpful. Will definitely be using in future snowdon trips.

United KingdomI had read there was a bar. As I was solo I had hoped to meet other guests and socialise in the bar but it wasn't open that weekend.
Accessible and served at a reasonable time. They were also happy to cater for vegetarian.

United KingdomShowers were a little hit and miss. Some warmer and more powerful than others. Could just be the size and age of the property and plumbing but would add more comfort. We liked that towels were provided though!
Lots of leisure spaces: dining room, adult living room with bar, student lounge, games room etc. that are great for entertaining big groups. Good facilities for outdoorsy people, e.g. the drying room and outdoor taps and brushes for cleaning boots.

United KingdomThe room and bed was comfortable, and there is plenty of space in the facility. For a hostel, the room had more hotel like facilities with tea and coffee etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with plenty on offer. Its a good start to the day. Also the dining area is spacious There are some really comfortable chairs which you can relax in after a long day

United KingdomThe property was easy to find and near all facilities. A garage, shops and restaurants were all close by. The property was well maintained, clean and had all the necessary equipment and facilities for my stay. This was an impulsive trip and booked last minute. I had no expectations as the price was only £40 a night but wow, this place exceeded all my expectations. It was situated just off a main road so was very easy to get to. The house was fabulous and steeped in history which I was able to read about on the walls in the main hallways with lots of pictures too. Stunning surroundings, incredible facilities and open grounds which I took full advantage of wandering round. The Snowdrops and daffodils were beautiful. The staff were super helpful, friendly and attentive. The room was just what I needed. Clean, tidy, had everything I needed with a very comfortable bed and lovely and warm. Just what I needed after a day out and about on my motorbike. The staff helped me park my bike up in a safe place too. I was very impressed with the breakfast selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, breads and a full cooked breakfast too. All included in the £40 per night. The kitchen staff were amazing and I would do anything to get the secret recipe for the homemade muesli. (I wrote down the ingredients for my next shopping trip). Tea, coffee and milk etc were available in rooms and also in the dinning area. The lounge was very comfortable and there was access to an incredible library, games room, massive TV with access to the usuals; Netflix etc. Honestly, I can’t recommend this place more. I totally hit the jackpot with this booking. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here and I will absolutely certainly be returning. Thank you so much to all the staff who made my stay comfortable. This is without doubt the best place I’ve stayed on a budget.

United KingdomSomewhere it was mentioned that there will be daily cleaning but we didn't realize that happened. It would be better if that had happened. The floors shall be carpet washed once.
The stay is pleasant, nice place and very close to the town and many options for dinner close by. Also, the breakfast provided at the stay is excellent. We really enjoyed the stay and the breakfast!
