I wasn’t too keen on the evening meal in the restaurant. Very overpriced for a pretty subpar burger and chips.

Excellent location, lovely room which was very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. The bed was also comfortable. Everything we needed! The staff were also really friendly.

Would have enjoyed more variety on the dinner menu. (Pizza oven not in use) Room didn't have a fridge (that we could find)

The location was great. The full English breakfast was delightful, fresh, and a big selection and felt very clean. (Well worth getting this included). The bar overlooks the lake with spectacular views and colours in the evening while having a drink. RAF fighter jets flying past low on a Thursday and Friday was an awesome surprise. Plenty of parking. The location is very quiet in the evening Superior double had everything needed for a young couple. (Room didn't have a fridge) 2 parts to the hotel with apartments a short walk from the bar and reception. Venison moussaka was a nice take on a traditional Greek dish. Hotel surroundings are very quiet and peaceful in the night. Good location, a 15-20 minute walk from the town with a Tesco express.

Toilet seat didn’t fit properly which wasn’t great for my wife and daughter, and the shower panel wasn’t fitted properly so water easily escaped. Other than that, the room was lovely

There were no hooks for hanging clothes in the toilet which was quite inconvenient.

Felt building and room could do with a lick of paint and bathroom . Although it was cleaned daily I don’t think it was to a very good standard sadly. Breakfast served across the road which was not a problem as overlooked lake with great views but the set up to get your breakfast is so cramped and everyone on top of each other

Hot water wasn't really hot water . The shower had no power behind it. It wasn't powerful enough. Other than that we loved our room

The menu was rather pricey and the arrangement to self serve at breakfast via the small set of steps seemed a bit risky as you enter and leave the same way with your breakfast plate.

Lovely clean room, dog friendly and welcome in the restaurant. Beautiful location by the lake side and short walk into Ambleside town.

The breakfast was lovely and the room was immaculate. We emailed the hotel prior to our stay to ask if we could park the car late morning on the day of our arrival and we received a prompt reply confirming that we could do this. It was our first visit to the Lake District and it won’t be our last. The accommodation was perfectly situated and only a short distance from Ambleside. We will definitely return and would certainly recommend this accommodation.
