Nothing really. Perhaps routine restocking of tea etc would have been better than asking for items you needed but this is such a minor request.

Breakfast cooked to order with plenty of choice. Cereals, fruit, toast etc available too. Excellent dinner available. Cooked to a high standard. Room slightly small but en suite. Comfortable bed, tea and coffee and tv. Owners happy to spend time conversing with guests.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ravenstone in the Lake District, and it was truly a delightful experience. The cozy atmosphere, coupled with the picturesque surroundings, made for a perfect getaway. The hotel's location allowed easy access to the beauty of the Lake District, making it a convenient base for adventures. The friendly staff contributes to the warm atmosphere, greeting guests with smiles and a passion for service. The rooms is clean, cozy and comfortable. The home made butter brings pure joy in every bite😄. Everything made my visit a delightful and memorable experience.

Although the Conservatory/lounge was pleasant it was a little draughty to sit in . As we had no chairs in our room we found this a bit of a draw back. Of course we understand the poor weather conditions did not help.

We were very impressed with the friendly staff and the intimate atmosphere in the Lodge. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Our room was clean and comfortable but a little small. If and when we return we would opt for a larger room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was very good. The hotel was in an excellent location for exploring the countryside. The staff could advise on local walks and places to visit.

Staff were friendly welcoming and made our stay enjoyable. Will definitely visit again in the future. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The meals were delicious and a varied menu. Our room was lovely bed comfy home made biscuits were provided in room to have with drinks aswell as a miniature milk bottle of fresh milk which the staff were delighted to refill. So much nicer to have fresh milk rather than long life milk.

We were really disappointed that there wasn’t enough hot water left for us to take a shower on the first night of our stay. Apparently there’s only so much hot water in the part of the hotel we were in (room 8). When I asked why our shower was cold, Pete told us someone in room 9 had had a bath and used up all the hot water. Why have a bath in that room (we only had a shower in our room), if there’s not enough hot water for other guests?? It was -3 degrees and we were really looking forward to a hot shower on arrival. I don’t expect to pay what we paid and have no hot water. It really isn’t good enough. For that reason I wouldn’t stay here again. On the second night we made sure we had a shower at 4.30pm before other guests started coming back and the water was hot! There were also a lot of cobwebs on our ceiling.

The location is fabulous. Beautiful views. Amazing food- (we had an evening meal and breakfast). Pete is brilliant- he gave us a fantastic welcome and was really professional. He was very apologetic about there being no hot water left for us to have a shower on the Friday night (see below) and gave us some complimentary drinks by way of apology. The lady who served us breakfast was lovely too.

A great friendly country hotel set in gorgeous scenery. All the staff are so friendly and polite .Very comfy and warm room with a nice big hot shower .A good breakfast menu and simply gorgeous evening meals cooked to an excellent standard .Plenty of good walks a short distance from hotel Definitely recommend and will return

Had a lovely 2 night stay, from the moment we arrived our host made us feel at home. Lovely staff could not do enough for us. Room was very clean and cosy had everything we needed. As for the food in the restaurant, absolutely amazing, have the most fantastic chef, good choice of menu and prepared and cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend a stay/visit.
