Peter met us at the entrance, gave us a comprehensive tour of the hotel, explained the amenities, local walks, meals etc and continued to assist us with much humour. Hotel is very cosy and warm with great views. I wish we had stayed longer.

Accommodation was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay and the food (Dinner and breakfast) was very good. Best of all were the staff who were extremely professional, polite and helpful in every way. If I'm about that area again I would have absolutely zero issues about staying again.

Could not fault the service, including them accomodating our very late check with no issues. Room was very clean and well equipped for our one night stay. Excellent breakfast cooked to order.

Visited this B&B situated in a beauty spot at Bassenthwaite, unfortunately the radiator valve had broken and the room was really really hot. The staff were excellent and they came to investigate straightaway, agreed that we needed a new room they booked us in at the Ravenstone Manor Hotel over the road as they were fully booked with no other rooms spare - both owned by the same company. Tremendous service and a real common sense approach which made our stay really enjoyable! Would highly recommend! Excellent Staff!

They are really helpful but unable to guarantee the weather. Actually the sun came out while we there!

It is a little gem in an ideal location for visiting the lakes and fells around Keswick, Cockermouth and Penrith. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and has the added luxury of a restaurant and bistro with bar. The staff go above and beyond and on hand if you need recommendations or info about the local area. Breakfast is gorgeous too.

Location and the service.

Booked this to do fell walks around Keswick area. After doing 8 the first day .the last thing I wanted after freshening up was to go walking the area to find a place to eat . Omg the food on site was amazing. Highly recommend this place.

No wardrobe door on, bathroom door was to hard to open. Light fro the sign outside was a problem need to put a blind on that cover the window.

Nothing really. Perhaps routine restocking of tea etc would have been better than asking for items you needed but this is such a minor request.

Breakfast cooked to order with plenty of choice. Cereals, fruit, toast etc available too. Excellent dinner available. Cooked to a high standard. Room slightly small but en suite. Comfortable bed, tea and coffee and tv. Owners happy to spend time conversing with guests.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ravenstone in the Lake District, and it was truly a delightful experience. Although the Conservatory/lounge was pleasant it was a little draughty to sit in . As we had no chairs in our room we found this a bit of a draw back. Of course we understand the poor weather conditions did not help.

We were very impressed with the friendly staff and the intimate atmosphere in the Lodge. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Our room was clean and comfortable but a little small. If and when we return we would opt for a larger room.
