Just a bit outdated in areas

It’s a really good value hotel . Needs some updating but still pleasant and the decor accessories are good Staff are really nice and will do what they can to give you a pleasant stay

Staff failed to do the promised alarm call, which ALMOST destroyed my trip - as my phone also happened not to charge. Breakfast was a bit meh, but quite hearty by continental standards. Curled up cheese slices, unripe bananas, etc.

The Entrance was a bit run down - its looks closed when you first arrive. A bit of paint work would sort. Breakfast was ok but in short supply.

The room was clean - the bedding was immaculate, staff pleasant and helpful. would stay again.

The bathroom was very dated, particularly the floor which was very worn. No restaurant service (ie hot food) available either for dinner or breakfast

The hairdryer was not working. I did report this to the staff. We did expect a little more than just a cold continental breakfast. There was no hot chocolate to drink, not in the room or in the dining area.

That is was close to the motorway and easy to find. The room was clean and tidy. It was very quite in the hotel, no noise from the outside.

Disliked · So the first issue I had when I drove up to the hotel was that there was no signage and no lights on in the hall, bar or restaurant. It looked closed from the outside. All the signage was either removed or taped over from the previous company. I would strongly suggest one large banner naming the company at least. Although our room was warm and cosy and everything worked there were a few issues. The WIFI was very weak which was tricky if you want to do any work or social media. There were some issues with a build up of damp on the window sill which could have been very easier sprayed and cleaned when the room was being prepared. The shower room was dirty around the skirting and in the corners of the shower and the lower shower doors. I did not use the shower as a result. The toilet and sink were clean. I think if the hotel deep cleaned 20 rooms and let them out there would be more positive reviews. The continental breakfast was fine with plenty of choice, though I think the hotel should make sure that any media outlets that list the hotel have this information. Also, information about day time meals and evening meals should be removed from websites.

Good stay. Would return to see what improvements have been made. Liked · The room was warm and cosy. Everything worked in the room. The location of the room was at the side and very quiet. The shower room had plenty of products which were large bottles and smelt nice. The staff were lovely, very kind and willing to help and take verbal feedback on our stay. The location is excellent for one night stay visiting Wetherby. The Wetherby Whaler was fantastic.

My wife found the bed was hard but I thought it was ok. The signal to the TV kept breaking up. The breakfast was not great. Because the hotel had only been open a day there were not many guests. The cold cheeses and meats were a bit dried out. There were nice croissants that just needed to be warmed. I think there will be some hot food once up and running. We experienced the teething problems of the first few days of reopening.

Nice size room and well heated as weather was very cold. Location is excellent just a short distance from town centre. Plenty of parking. The staff could not have been more helpful.

The curb appeal is terrible. The staff are barely ok, and not at all welcoming. It was strange to only have male staff,not female in sight. Worst of all my bed had definitely been slept in and the bed just made but not changed.

No restaurant available. Basic continental breakfast - poor choice. Rooms tired, in need of re-decoration. Shower valve that came off in my hand. No anti-slip mat in the bath/shower.

There was a strong musty smell, the hotel is very outdated, the bathroom had cracked tiles and really needed upgrading. The pillows were ripped. Bar only open from 5-9pm and no food served and I was not aware of this when I booked or checked in.

The location was the only positive as it was only 10 mins from my business meeting.

Very run down. Not helpful with dietary needs despite advanced warning. Reception desk staff felt it was ok to wake me up at 9:55 pm with a child in the room to discuss something they had no interest in over an hour and a half earlier.
