Absolutely nothing

What an absolutely beautiful place to stay, very clean, smells fresh when you walk in to your room, the rooms are a great size, we were really surprised, comfortable bed, mini fridge with tea making facilities, the views are stunning, with their own lake to sit by, Holly was lovely, nothing was too much trouble, will definitely be returning, such a delightful place to stay.

Slight negatives The kitchen could do with a slight restock , bread knife, bottle opener, and cork screw. The shower is temperamental. It changed between freezing and scalding, so I definitely showered at speed, and like others have said, the pressure isn't the best. The room is unfortunately next to the stairs, and the noise from people going up and down ,or from the rooms upstairs can be quite loud ,more so if it's a heavy footed person, but that can't be avoided so maybe take ear plugs.

Overall, I honestly can't fault this place. The hosts were accommodating. They messaged to ensure I was ok with self check-in or if I would like someone there. I had said I was fine,however, there was someone busily working when I arrived, and they helped me check in. The room was stunning, I had the large family room, and the setup was amazing. Comfy bed, lovely lounge area, nice kitchen, spacious bathroom. The double doors leading out onto the peaceful rear of the property just added to the feel of the room. Also, very good curtains kept the room quite dark in the morning. The grounds of the house are so pretty and we'll maintained. I will most definitely be back!

Tv station internet based but didn’t really use it

Everything. Location, spacious comfy room with a comfortable bed. Plenty of coffee,tea etc and biscuits. Won’t hesitate to book again

Limited parking spaces. Parked on side verge.

Finding the place. Bathroom chilly and towels a little damp, and floor a little slippery. Bedding a little coarse. An occasional table would have been welcome.

The woodland, the lake, the fantastic view from the very spacious freshly decorated room. The fridge was a nice touch.

Absolutely loved my stay here. I’ve stayed in many different types of accommodation for work or leisure over the years and have never felt more ‘at home’ than I do at Rainworth Lodge. The room was immaculate and decorated to a high standard, plus Holly was incredibly supportive throughout my stay.

It was a self check in and although we didn't mind this some people may prefer a more personal service

This is an individually ran guest house which is our preference and although we didn't meet the host we did speak to her and she was extremely accommodating. The room was large with a King size bed and ensuite facilities. The grounds are stunning and include a trout pond. All in all we would definitely recommend staying at Rainworth

The only disappointment was the shower - everything was clean & tidy, but the shower head provided a low pressure flow, rather than the preferred high pressure flow.

We didn't see anybody during the whole period of our stay, which seems to be par for the course these days, so no personal touch at all. It was an old house, so door frames were low, meaning I regularly hit my head. Worst thing though was the TV, which was internet based and we couldn't access normal TV channels.

Location was lovely and the room was large and comfortable, as was the bed.
