Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomBuilding work which was deafening was going on in main reception area. Staff having to work throughout this period was astonishing. Almost impossible to communicate with receptionists. No alternative location to have bar meals other than in this area was offered but when asked for another location we were able to have lunch in the dining room. Rooms need extra sockets and are in need of refurbishment-red curtains!

United KingdomThe showers in the Spa weren’t clean , the steam room wasn’t working. Got told there was only 4 gin glasses in the building by the main lobby bar. When I questioned this at reception they suddenly found me 1 along with cucumber to go in my Hendricks.

United KingdomPaid for 'Birthday Package' which did not meet expectations (£25 for 3 petit fours and a generic card) but this is being resolved with a refund, Spa tried to cancel and reschedule but this was not an option as we live 4 hours away, they did manage to honour the time when we explained this was not feasible but considering it was booked and paid for in full months in advance I found this a little disconcerting. Bottled water in room was never replaced and we had to ask for our towels to be replaced after they had been removed.
Location was within easy reach of the main bars and shops, bus up to the cathedral to avoid the steep climb was right outside the hotel, room was large and comfortable with plenty of sockets at the bed side, outlook over the river (as requested paid extra) Bathroom was a decent size, bar area was nice and welcoming, bar staff were lovely, special mention to Fredrico who was exceptional. Spa was good and treatments excellent by Alice.

Room was a good size for two people. Room was clean and floor was quiet. Breakfast was good, with good selection. Oat milk and real tea leaves and teapots available. A proper home from home breakfast!!
