What a great place! The room was spacious, light and airy, the bed was comfy, big bathroom too. The whole place is really well kept and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fab. Brid is a fab host and made us feel really welcome. Great location on the seafront but nice and quiet.

Room was on the small side for the price and shower wasn't as hot as we'd like it to be after a swim in the sea!

Brid & Derek were very welcoming and accommodating. Great breakfast! Very clean and nice style and homely. We took our bikes and were able to securely store them at the property. It's a great location for cycling and exploring Eastbourne, Hastings as well as Seven Sisters park.

We were made to feel so welcome by Brid and Derek. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is so homely, and in a great location. The cleanliness was excellent. We are going back in September and many more times in the future. Also the breakfast was 10 out of 10

We stayed at The New England for a three day break. We had looked at so many properties and then came across this absolute gem. With incredible ratings. We had the most lovely welcome on arrival and could not help noticing the warm welcome interior with lovely festive decorations. After arrival we were moved to a large family room with en suite. It was perfect and lovely and warm. Everything you needed was within, including a mini fridge with fresh milk, bottled water and a treat. The bedding was define and everywhere within the property was absolutely spotless. There is a stunning guest lounge with cosy sofas, which is a nice addition to sitting in your bedroom. There is a beautiful spacious dinning room at the front of the property which overlooks the seafront. Breakfast was superb and it is requested within your room that you complete a breakfast form for the following day. There was many choices and all served with perfection. China and cutlery is all top notch at The New England and Brid and Derek the owners are just so wonderful and friendly all the time. It is obvious that they have a true passion for their business and for their clientele as they have got it absolutely spot on. Parking is on side roads to the property, but we always found a spot. It is a short walk into main town. but they are other local shops on a nearby back road if needed. We had a truly wonderful time and cannot wait to go back again, Thankyou for making our weekend so special.

Hosts made you feel very welcome. Quirky interior with the personal touch was a pleasant change from the standard bland corporate fare. Excellent breakfast & nice quiet location but not far from everything. Would certainly return.

Parking took a while to find but we knew this when we booked and it was not a problem. Just a case of driving round until we found a space.

Everything was excellent. Staff were helpful, friendly and happy to help. Good number of choices for breakfast, food very good. Everywhere was lovely, clean and fresh. We would certainly book again.

We booked the room quite late and there was only the small double available, so we were not expecting a large room, but it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. I have never stayed in such a clean hotel - even the grout between the white tiles in the bathroom was white. Chocolates on the pillows was a really nice touch as well. The choice for breakfast was amazing as well as the portion size. As we had to get up early to catch a train to Brighton to watch our son run the marathon, the landlady even cooked ours early for us. As hosts they go above and beyond what they need to do for their guests.

The owners are really helpful, nothing was too much trouble including catering for my daughters dairy intolerance. The location is excellent, very close to the beach and town but far enough away to be quiet at night. The breakfast was great and felt safe in these days of Covid as all items were on your table, but if you required anything more it wasn’t a problem. The rooms were exceptionally clean.

Only one small thing, room was noisy as on ground floor. Everything else was great.

Our stay was wonderful, with welcoming hosts, a gorgeous room and beautiful decor it was a truly pleasurable place to stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and our room and en suite were clean and bright. Bríd and Derek were so welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our stay special. From delicious breakfasts including my sons favourite pancakes to dinner recommendations and drinks at their bar afterwards. Bríd even bought my son a bag of sweets which he was over the moon about. It's not often you find a hotel that ticks every box but The New England truly does, plus its in a fabulous location. What really made our stay special was how much we felt at home and that was down to Bríd and Derek's incredible hospitality. Thank you for having us, we will 100% be coming to stay again.

The property does not have parking space, however, street parking is possible. On a busy day, we needed to park a bit away, but we could still find a place, so not a big problem. Room 2's toilet seat is a bit small for the toilet, so your legs touch the ceramic surface, not a big issue either.

The location is great, it is just by the beach and 1 km from the city center where you can find all types of cafes and restaurants. The building is a cute one and the room was super clean. Brid is a very friendly host and she recommended good restaurants to visit.

We had a fantastic stay. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and they gave us what ever we ordered. There is a very good selection of breakfast to suite everyone's taste. We will definitely go there again
