Second time staying at the Parkgate and so glad we returned. From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly by friendly and welcoming staff. We decided to upgrade to a suite upon arrival and this was a great decision! The suite was beautiful. Exceptionally clean and comfortable with great facilities. Quality bedding, towels, toiletries and refreshments, everything has been thought of which made the stay just perfect. Breakfast was lovely, great choices and again the staff were friendly and helpful. A fabulous hotel.

The Park Gate is a beautiful hotel and the staff make it a welcoming place. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, so you can't help having a rest full time.

The overall impression of the the hotel and the service the staff offer is exceptional.

Nothing to add really. We liked our trip and would come again. Breakfeast was a little frantic but excellent selection.

Really enjoyed our stay. We have been to this hotel many times and it is always meets our expectations. The location is superb.

The main issue was the cost , as we were attending a concert the room cost was ridiculous , l do expect to pay a bit of a premium but as there was next to nothing local by the time l got tickets my hands were tied the room was best part of £400 and no where near worth it , yes the hotel was nice , but value for money , not at any level, FYI this did not even include breakfast !

Really lovely hotel. Very well done. Impressive The Concierge Keith was amazing! A real people person. It was spotlessly clean and in really good taste. Near to the station and the venue we were visiting. So excellent! In every way. I went with my daughter and we ate dinner there which was very good. Had afternoon tea also .... Excellent. I had a massage, perfect My daughter had a facial, perfect. Beautiful Spa The staff were lovely especially Keith the concierge. Excellent guy. A true asset to the hotel!

The pictures show the spa area and pool which is expensive and must be booked in advance. At first glance it looks as if it is included although it does state not if all the details are read.

Staff are all phenomenal. They treated me like a Queen. Perfect location for the stadium and comfortable rooms.

Thought the bar was very expensive. £17 for a beer and a gin and tonic. Bar food was also very expensive. No parking at the hotel.. 10 minute walk from the train station, but not a problem.

Beautiful, stylish hotel, in what used to be the Post Office. Lovely stylish refurbishment. Absolutely excellent breakfast!! Fantastic location, right in the middle of Cardiff. Staff were great.

It would be full marks all round if they had bath tubs in the standard rooms. This is the sort of hotel you want to pamper yourself in and enjoy the hotel room!

The price at The Bar especially after being a hotel guest we would of enjoyed the atmosphere of a relaxing bar but with the prices so high we went else where the prices were far more acceptable even being in Cardiff

Price for the use of the spa was expensive for what was there, continental breakfast wasn’t very nice (potatoes were hard and tomatoes were cold) but other food (yogurts, pastries etc was nice). There wasn’t any windows that could open in the room so we woke up to the windows with a lot of condensation on them to the point we couldn’t see out of them, this is obviously a problem as the wood was very damp near the window area we’re this has been happening for a while.

Hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly, located in the city centre so perfect for shopping. Bed was so comfy I didn’t want to get out! And cocktail were amazing.

The room was bland (no pictures). The window really needed a voile/net curtain for privacy. The towel rail was in completely the wrong position and hard to access. It must be very difficult for the staff doing changeovers.
