An excellent hotel especially for those travelling with their furry friends. Extensive grounds in which to walk your dog and close to the dog friendly beach at Gorleston. The hotel is also within easy reach of Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Olton Broad to name a few. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is something to be looked forward to delicious and sustaining The evening menu is a bit limited but the food was expertly cooked, by the owner I think, and beautifully presented. The other thing I liked was there was no change for dogs whereas the majority of hotels are now charging between £10 and £25 a night per dog and this can add a lot to a holiday. This was our second visit and we have booked another holiday later in the year. I can recommend this hotel without reservation book now and enjoy your holiday.

Breakfast was good but other meals could be improved menu limited. All in all it was a good visit. We would stay again if in area.

We could not drink water from the taps.No soap in bathroom. There was not a restaurant for evening meals.You could eat in bar area which was very ordinary and no atmosphere or in your rooms.?.Bottles of water were supplied when requested.

Large room,comfortable bed.Nice outlook across grounds. Good central location.Able to take a stroll around grounds.Breakfast was very good. Staff were excellent and always able to help with any questions.

No one really talked to me even though I was there on my own. Breakfast was brought to me in the bar as I had a dog, I ate and left.

Looking at other comments it would appear a lot of people expect an independent hotel to be comparable to a glass and steel corporate! Our room as perfectly good with a modern bathroom and very clean. We took our dog and had a room with direct access to outside which was a bonus!

There was nothing in particular that I did not like, but noted that the menu in the evenings was the same as last time I stayed and a little limited in choice. However, the food served is reasonably priced and tasty.

I have stayed at this hotel on several previous occasions and although a little quirky, it fits with my needs very well. Staff are always very friendly and helpful and the accommodation is clean and comfortable although a little old fashioned.

We've stayed here quite a number of times now, and always had a lovely stay. Breakfast is delicious. Rooms are clean and comfortable. But most Importantly, the staff are all lovely. They always make fish of our dog Chewie when we stay. Highly recommended.

The staff were friendly, the room was a good size and we took our puppy, she had plenty of room to roam in the room and outside the grounds were lovely and peaceful.

That we only had a few days stay

Quintessential Suffolk hotel at it's finest, from the wonderful service delicious food and the rooms are perfect for families. My family and I shall certainly be staying at this again. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday a special one .

Shower almost useless, water exceptionally hot with little pressure.

Room very comfortable with good sized bed. Breakfast choice excellent, evening meal satisfied my requirements. Very convenient location.

We had a room upstairs and wish we had asked for a ground floor which they would have accommodated.

Very good breakfast, didn’t need to eat until dinner at night. Grounds were lovely and good for walking the dog. The room was a lovely size and very quiet.
