Fantastic location with fantastic owners. This place is a must stay for a relaxing time. listening to the river flowing from the comfort of your 4 poster bed.

The only downside was we got the room with a shower over a bath, and with having mobility issues was a slight problem, but other rooms have just showers so will ask for one of those rooms next time we're over.

Would recommend to anyone, the host was friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and had everything we needed and the breakfast was good, cooked to perfection.

The owner Trevor is a fantastic host. Really couldn’t do enough for you. The Bridge Inn pup just around the corner is a must visit. Rooms were very comfortable. Had everything you needed. Breakfast was great, and Trevor’s poached eggs are fantastic!

Very friendly helpful hosts, made us feel very welcome. Accommodation was 1st class. Very comfortable bed and good facilities. Splendid view of the river from the bathroom. Good substantial English breakfast, set us up for the day. Close to a friendly pub and in walking distance to the shops. We'll placed for exploring the delightful countryside.

Accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable. Decor was quirky and fun. Trevor was extremely welcoming, attentive and entertaining. Excellent breakfast.

Right from the start Trevor was the perfect host, allowing us to check in early to fit around a wedding we were attending locally. On arrival we couldn't have been made more welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The property is in a quiet, picturesque location by a river with easy parking (outside the church) just a short walk from Ripponden center with various pubs and restaurants. Whilst comfortable with all the amenities you'd expect, the property still retains at lot of it's 400 year-old charm and has been sympathetically renovated. The home-cooked breakfast in the morning was to die for, where we also took the opportunity to chat with Trevor and learn more about the history of the property. I really can't recommend the property, or it's welcoming host, highly enough.

Fantastic night at over the Bridge highly recommend. Views and area lovely. Breakfast cooked by Trevor with personal touch also very nice yorkshire tuɓby was yummy. Welcoming and friendly we will be back. The lancashire lot ....

Nothing to dislike All was above and beyond my expectations

From the initial booking to check out Trevor was just absolutely the best host ! What a lovely gem 💎 you have ! I have to say the place is pristine Bed linen beautiful and fresh.. the bed was divinely comfortable too. The sound of the river just added to the relaxation factor I needed for this stay. Breakfast built for a king couldn't fault a thing.. Dexter the dog was just a another plus for me and extremely well behaved. Unlike Trevor I might add who was very playful in his approach I was mesmerised by the filming of Darth vador whilst there Trevor arranged for me to see him with his cloak on floating past us 😁 Many thanks for your great hospitality guys.

Everything was pretty perfect to be honest. I don’t like rooms red hot but some people may want it warmer. Perfect for me though.

Quirky property, pleasant owner, knowledgeable and great recommendations for food and drinks at the pub a stones throw away. Handy location for business meeting the following day. Breakfast outstanding and some lovely walks around the area too. Room facilities all very good as well.

Absolutely beautiful house so clean & comfortable the Gentleman that owns it can not do enough for you! So kind & helpful, lovely En-suite bathroom, and the breakfast was amazing. Deffo my place to stay when I’m working in the area! Pub just next door that serves hot food! The whole experience was perfect Thank you

A lovely stay - very warm and friendly welcome. Our room was very comfortable and the guest house suitably situated in walking distance to some lovely pubs and restaurants. Having said that, we received a substantial tasty full breakfast on morning one, and this morning a Yorkshire Tubby filled with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon which was delicious. Thank you both

The property is in a beautiful location and Trevor is an amazing host. This was my 2nd time staying and I was greeted with a warm welcome, and a wonderful seasonal treat of mince pie & mulled wine. The breakfast was excellent, the properly is immaculate. As a woman travelling for work on her own I feel safe staying at Over The Bride and I will definitely be back. Many thanks Trevor

The only thing I struggled with a bit is the chair at the desk ..the cushion is deflated !

The place is gorgeous, quiet, tucked away in a fabulous location. It was warm and cozy, room was very big with enough space for me to do yoga and a desk to work at. So many tiny touches made for a delightful stay and I will definitely rebook
