Room was dated, staff could have been friendlier. Breakfast was not worth rhe extra 15 per person. Pool changing areas and relax room could do with regular cleaning.

The rooms are of a large size but they are quite dated in particular the bathrooms and smell damp and musty. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are too soft and small for the size of the bed and there are no spares to add to the bed in the room. We ate in the restaurant after being asked to preorder as there was 10 of us there was errors and wrong orders brought out and when corrected not all the meals were eaten they were dry, tasteless and congealed. We noticed customers arriving and ordering and their food appeared to be ok! The young waiting staff were very sorry and kept apologising. We had rooms booked with breakfast and this was again your usual buffet style breakfast.

The place is situated in a lovely setting very peaceful.

I requested a low floor room due to the mobility of 1 guest. I was first placed on the top floor. Secondly every day we had to get a new room card.

The rooms are dated, but clean. The spa gowns were too small for the men in our group and they had run out so only a few in our group got them. The electric car charging was not working. The rooms are quite noisy and can hear other guests. All these were slight inconveniences and I wouldn’t be put off booking.

The spa was fantastic, well managed and super clean. Our bedroom was incredibly clean and the bed very comfy. We were surprised how nice the breakfast was, it was always fully stocked and hot and the baked goods tasted fresh - the conservatory area was very pleasant in the morning. The grounds were well kept and we couldn’t fault the staff who always went above and beyond. It’s not a sleek hotel and is dated, but definitely good value for money all things.

No hot water on first day. Little information about this, and no remuneration, such as a drink on the house for example. Some areas rather shabby and could do with a coat of paint

Lighting in the room was too dim e.g. the bedside lamps were not strong enough to read easily. We were cold in the evening as the radiator wouldn’t heat up but we had a heater delivered to the room when we asked. Nevertheless it would have been better to have a note in rooms offering heaters to those who were cold.

Car park is under trees and my vehicle took a long time to clean off the birds droppings - so watch were you park. The men's changing rooms needed the floor mopping more frequenlty especially late afternoon.

The bed wasn't too comfortable. We were given a room opposite a noisy group of family so didn't experience the peace and quiet we were looking forward booking the place.
