Not enough storage in the room - needed a chest of drawers or similar.

Lovely boutique hotel with great restaurant and wonderfully friendly staff.

We had a brilliant stay at Olif. The food (both the tapas and breakfasts each day) was incredible, the room was lovely and the friendly staff were exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay while we explored Wales.

    Nothing!!!

My twin sister and I had the best experience staying here for our birthday! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with a smile and with such a relaxed ambience of the whole place we loved it straight away! Our room was divine, clean, quiet and with everything you needed plus a beautiful wee view of their garden. Oh and I must tell you that you can be assured to wake up to the most divine breakfast!! From a ray of jarred fresh fruits, yogurts and cereals to the full on cooked ,veg or non veg, you will absolutely adore!! And of course their evening Tapas night are not to be missed!! You can go all out and enjoy a feast of platters!! Wow!!! We enjoyed two nights with this splendour of food and wine and it was divine!! The restaurant was full both evenings with such a great atmosphere....it was perfect!! And last BUT not least are the staff on hand!! Absolutely amazing and beautiful!!! Thank you so much for all that you did for us! You all are fabulous! We both had the best time and we will be definitely be returning to say hello again! Much love, The twins.. Sandra & Jools xx

The only thing that I wish had been different was the shower in room 5, it has a ceiling shower and a hand held shower, but I think it’s broken, as I couldn’t get one to work without the other, which isn’t great if you don’t want to get your hair wet. I would have liked to be able to just turn the handheld shower on without the ceiling shower, but this wasn’t to be

The staff were all fantastic, Loved the room ( no5) and the restaurant with the fairylights was just lovely and cosy, the tapas, in fact all the food was wonderful. And a great location.

The online breakfast booking system. We had to specify a time (before9), which we thought was a bit early for Sunday, but to be fair when we overslept there was no problem.

A spacious room with lovely views and a lovely romantic double-ended bath. Breakfast was great even though I never quite got the hang of the on-line booking. Location was perfect and parking was easy (out of season).

It is difficult to find fault with this property, one minor improvement could be to provide more storage space in the room for clothes etc.

The room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were wonderful, attentive and friendly. nothing was too much trouble for them. There was a great choice of breakfasts, buffet or freshly cooked using locally sourced ingredients. The quality of the food was excellent and each plate was presented with great care. The evening tapas meals were to the same standard, plenty of choice and a culinary delight! Well stocked bar with a great choice of local ales.

    There were no negatives.

Everything was perfect the room was beautiful and the hosts had thought of everything a person might need. The bed was so comfortable, I would love to have taken it home. After a wonderful nights sleep the bonus then is the superb choices for breakfast. The hosts and staff are so friendly and will help you whenever they can. We could park outside the property on double yellow parking restriction are relaxed from October until early Spring so that was very handy.

There is no parking at this guesthouse which is mildly inconvenient and free parking in the village is very limited and a good walking distance from the accommodation so could be an obstacle for any guests who find walking and carrying luggage difficult, although you can drop off at the door and then park the car. There are a few car parks in Betws-y-Coed but there is an overnight parking fee and still a short/moderate walk from the accommodation. However, the positives well outweigh this inconvenience and would certainly not prevent me from staying again.

The cleanliness and presentation of the room and guesthouse in general was exceptional. The communication with the guesthouse is excellent - email and/or texts with all the information you need (directions, door code, wi-fi passwords, etc) and the link to the online booking form for breakfasts. Responses to email enquiries are prompt and helpful. The room was a good size, warm and very comfortable with a good view of the waterfalls. Room lighting, facilities, including shower and toiletries, refreshments in the room were all very good. The hosts immediately make you feel welcome and you soon feel that they are friends you are visiting, even if it is your first visit. The Tapas restaurant is an added bonus and would recommend eating at Olif. The guesthouse is position well at the heart of Betws-y-Coed and the restaurant is an added bonus which means that there is no need to leave the accommodation in the evening. There are a wide variety of breakfast options and the tasty Welsh breakfast was the best start to a day of walking in Snowdonia.
