The details said there was a communal kitchen but that wasn’t the case, however the landlady let me use her own kitchen.

Very handy for facilities, attractive park at top of the rd and then access to river and sea side.The property is a little tired in places but extremely good value. The heating was great, after I turned the radiator on.

When I got to the place I was stopping. I was waiting outside for 20 mins before I rang a number that was on the door for a lady to give me different codes to try and get in the door after ringing the bell several times. For a woman to open the door to ask who i was and I should of been given a code to get in. I had to show her my email as she didn't believe I had a booking. She give me a key to the room I was staying in. I went to go back out she showed me that there was a fob on the keys to get back in and not to ring door bell. Attitude could of been a bit better towards me.

Was in walking distance to the beach and shopping facilities.

Location excellent...Rooms clean and tidy..Most exceptional part of Ocean Road Rooms is Daniella ,lady who looks after the day to day running of the place.Really special lady who does everything she can to make stay memorable.

Noise, (can't be helped as on a busy road). Really uncomfortable bed with stained linen and pillows that had no pillow protectors on. One pillow was just wadding. Damaged furniture, not dusted or wiped, filthy, sticky stair rail and carpet on the way up to the top floor. Huge burn in carpet in the room. Very small room. We didn't stay the nights booked as what we saw was not acceptable to us, so we can't really comment on the whole experience. Immediate impressions though were sloppy decor and not overly clean. We didn't even check the bathroom out. I appreciate the room was cheap... I don't mind basic but cleanliness is paramount.

Staff member that directed us to our room was very approachable and polite as was the lady I spoke to on the telephone.

Full of misfits

The bathroom sink hadn’t been cleaned out, there was a dead cockroach outside on the landing and I had a drunken male and female in the room next to me and couldn’t get to sleep on my last night due to the noise and swearing and banging all night. I will never book in there again

Dirty, dangerous exposed wires, no facilities one teabag roped open on a dirty dish. Children drawings on wall large window in room facing the bed with no curtain so much more to say negative…

The clientele they are drug addicts and it is so intimidating I was scared to leave my room as there are people lying round the stairs case's taking drugs and they house people that are a danger to others I would advise not to take families

The state of the room was very much in need of repair. Drawings in wall for children, cob webs everywhere, plaster around sockets was very poor and was exposed. Flooring was missing in places.

The location was ideal and just where we wanted to be.

The fact it was wooden and tiles floors and the dog could not walk she's 15.so I checked out and did not get a refund.as I.l paid for 3 nights

Cups were dirty with hairs in room wasnt 100% clean was dusty!wardrobe was wobbly and staff were quite rude when I asked for new cups and when I asked a couple of questions she was quite abrupt but overall wasn't to bad
