    Nothing.

Great staff. Very helpful. Warm, friendly and accommodating. There was an issue with our room allocation which was resolved very quickly and satisfactorily. Amazing cooked English breakfast 😋 Sufficient parking. We had a great stay.

It was a shared bathroom with 2 good sized bathrooms which is fine, but at night I couldn’t find the light switch, but otherwise all ok.

It was clean with adequate space in the twin room for my son and I. The full English breakfast was good before our hike in Edale. And the staff were friendly and hospitable.

A gorgeous Victorian property offering very good value for money.

The pillows were of poor quality and provided little support which sounds trivial but in my experience, it contributes significantly to a comfortable night of sleep.

We stayed in a clean, spacious and nicely decorated room. Breakfast was served in a bright dining room overlooking beautiful gardens. The whole place showed attention to details.

The only thing I can critique was the bedding quality. Very thin pillows and duvet.

A very traditional style B & B, lovely building in a lovely setting. Spacious size rooms and a fab breakfast.

Nightmare traffic reaching the place from Manchester Airport (took about an hour 5:30 to 6:30 pm) and also on towards Glossop next morning (that also took about an hour). Don’t know if that’s normal and just due to volume of traffic on roads with a lot of traffic lights? Don’t believe time estimates from Google maps anyway!

Location is lovely by the canal and on the edge of the Peak District. Good variety of places to eat nearby (I went to the Cambodian restaurant). Decent amount of parking in the driveway/front yard. It was quite full when I arrived but the host was really kind helping me squeeze in (thanks!), which was just part of the friendly welcome I received. I stayed in the basement / garden room, which was lovely and I appreciated having my own separate entrance via the garden. Breakfast was good and hearty and served very quickly.

For the price this was excellent value but elderly/disabled guests need to be aware that some rooms are up two flights of stairs - the second being narrow. Not all rooms are en suite but this is clear when booking.

Easy to find without going through connurbation. Good parking. Friendly and welcoming host. Excellent full English breakfast. Interesting Arts & Crafts house with lovely garden. Very clean. Pet friendly.
